For Pete's sake... If your valve cover gasket leaks don't touch it! Lol I made
mine worse. Although it had an oil problem before. I think my motor in on the
frtiz anyways. The gear box is super slushy. Would y'all recommend to rebuild
it? Put it a new motor? Or ride it til I throw a rod and
Does it ever end? Haha
I got everything back together. She's beautiful. Blinkers work swinginly.
Starts right up with barely any choke. Carbs all synced.
However, now she loses fuel for some reason. The fuel randomly stops flowing. I
rebuilt the petcock thinking that was the issue. Sadly this
I've got a gremlin. I don't know what it is. I have my suspicions.
My front turn signals are on which is greatbut so are the back ones. When I
switch the turn signal to left or right, the corresponding light turns off -
both front and back. These are aftermarket signals but are not LED.
This bike is finicky when it's cold. Most Hondas are. It definitely needs a
good 5-10 minute warm up and don't romp on it while it's warming up. Choke is
gonna be needed most of the time unless it's 80+ degrees. Idle should be higher
in the cold but idle should be around 1k to 1500. Always be
Can I replace the light for my gage cluster or do I need a whole new one? If I
can replace it How? I don't want to rip it in half and break it :/

I put an LED light in mine. Works just fine. Also put on additional lights on
my crash bars... Works way awesome for night rides and they are hooked up to
only be on when my brights are

Were you having charging issues before? I had an issue with mine. The
alternator showed charge but wasn't charging correctly. Changing that fixed
most of my issues.

I've been looking around and can't seem to find any that would work with it.
They have to hook up to the top of the rear shocks right? Or is there a way to
rig up something under the seat itself?

Does anyone have a 83-85 nighthawk 650 sissy bar for sale or at least know the
measurements of it to machine up? I have the grab bar but would rather have the
backrest. Thanks!

Yeah. This happened to me after pulling my carbs apart. Turns out, one of the
needles expanded after I out it all back together so the floats were way to
high in one. Take them all apart and compare with all the covers off. Take your
time. Took a whole lot of staring and swearing to figure out
Hey guys! So I've been having an issue with my rear blinkers staying on and
none of them blink. I believe the not blinking thing is because they're LED
lights and need a circuit thing for them. However, I'm wondering why they stay
on all the time? Any thoughts? I'm sure it's a wiring issue so
Those pipes must not be original to the bike as the first generation of
nighthawk had four to four. They switched to four to two in 83 for second gen.
The color also looks a bit different than mine but it could be the picture
lighting too. Still a pretty bike. Looks like someone restored it
Either would be cool... I'm just trying to keep mine as original as possible
but I'm just picky haha

Thanks! I've seen one other one out there but definitely not as shiny and
pearly as mine. And since I've only seen one other one, just curious is anyone
knows anything about that particular color. Not many people seem to. Grandpa's
was a Honda dealer for many years but sadly isn't around
This is not an aftermarket paint color. The color code on the original frame
matches this color which was applied at manufacturing of the bike itself. Trust
me. I've checked.
