In the past 18 months two of the three "older" motorcycle mechanics in
Honolulu have passed away and the one left is retiring next month. He's
the only person who's worked on my Nighthawk sense I've had it and will
actually call me when he somehow knows my bike needs something. He has
been the proud owner of 4 Nighthawks over the past 30 years of owning his
shop. I can't see anyone else working on my bike. Plus I'm at 103,000+
plus miles, 90,000 of them I put on the bike so maybe it's time to upgrade
to something more modern.

Through friends I can get a 2010 NT700v for at most $3,000. Only 5,000
miles on the bike and in amazing shape. The owner only road weekends,
garage kept and never seen the rain. I remember when these came out and
thought they were interesting and think they would be a great daily
rider, especially for Honolulu. Basically a small "sport touring" bike
with lots of storage for all my stuff.

Has anyone road one of these? Any thought or feedback from other Nighthawk
riders would be great. I love my 750 and will hate to see the bike go but
it's time. A friends wife is looking for a starter bike - I'm going to
give her my Nighthawk. I just don't have a mechanic to take care of it the
way it has been for the last 10 years and really don't want to see someone
else take care of the bike.
