Yep, it is just the horizontal bar by the back of the seat. I am
thinking about fabbing something for that as well. Just don't know
how soon I'll get to it.
As far as the seat stitching, I don't know. That is how I got it.
Doesn't look like yours has the duct tape either! I am actually

I bought my 96 NH 750 almost two years ago with the same idea in my mind. I
still whish to get another bike, perhaps newer, or just different, but I
think my NH is probably the last thing I would sell ever.

Ditto this. Tim will tell you, I hadn't had mine a month before I was
already talking about adding to the collection...
Also, RE spending money on a bike you aren't going to keep, look at it
this way: $50 is pretty cheap, considering the more complete and well

is about $50. Don't really want to spend that much for a little
piece of metal on a bike I am not planning on keeping long term. I'll
probably keep my eye out
Pat,
I gotcha - I once ran into a vehicle that someone had wired a
third brake light into - improperly - so that it blinked with the
flashers on - I wanted to make sure you hadn't made the same mistake.
Good going BTW - looks like you're having fun wrenching on your own ride!

Yes, the turn signals work with the break lights in the back. It is
not a function of the fuse box but of the dual filament turn
signals. I actually just wired the bright filament to the turn
signals and the not as bright to the brake lights. So the brake
light remains on, but since the turn
Agreed, it looks fantastic. Nice work Pat. Isn't it nice to be able
to say you did all that work yourself? The satisfaction of having
something work that you repaired with your own hands and ingenuity is
second only to building something from scratch and having it work.
