When do we plan to stop using this list? I want to make sure I am receiving
messages on the new list, so some type of test message in the near future
would be appreciated :)

Hi! I realise this might be somewhat late but I have a friend who
runs a service that donates (for free) mailing lists with archiving
for FOSS projects, and I think that unless the traffic on the Nix
list is really really high he'd be prepared to host the mailing list
for this project. They already run lists for quite a few projects
including Lua's mailing list[1]. He may also be able to help with migration from
the existing list.
