Will there be a channel in time? I tried to update to the

I'm going to release 16.09 today.
Anyone willing to catch us last-standing bugs, please upgrade to 16.09 beta
today. There are currently no known blockers left.

rsync was intentionally removed from the default installation. You can
easily add it into `systemPackages`, for example.
But... looking more at
After switch from 16.03 to 16.09, rsync command was not available. My
deployment scripts were broken.
Also, inability to start VPN in container is a regression and show-stopper
for me.

I've enabled libinput because it was the only way to make my touchpad work
with the new GNOME release. What happens if you force disable it? Does
synaptics work? It didn't for me.

What I've found so far is that NixOS cannot be used with a Gnome
desktop and a non-us keyboard layout. Or to be more specific: If you
cannot enter your password on a us keyboard.
The combination of two bugs - one a "wontfix" - prevents that:
https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/9006 Lock screen
ATI drivers do need more love, sadly we've lost https://github.com/heydojo
on such contributions.
Oliver: could you open an issue for this (or check if one already exists)
and we can take it from there.
Last release was also painful ATI-wise, we need someone to step up and
maintain those drivers
I'm not having any luck here. Mine freezes during init with both unfree ATI
drivers and the open source drivers :/ haven't had a chance to look further
yet though I'm afraid, but it's unusable for me.

Domen,
so far, everything is working for me.
Would be nice to add news on nixos.org page (last news is about nixops 1.4
release, and previous about nixos 16.03)

This release is pretty quiet so far.
I wonder if that means most of things work or do we need a more broader
call of more testing?
Please report back your findings - thanks!
