In any case you might just want to "do it" - eg start a wiki page, and
see whether people adopt it.

Hi all,
I'd like to propose a "Packages" section on wiki, where each package has
all relevant information for a package (or a group of packages) to Nix or
NixOS. Similar to Gentoo (for example http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Xfce)
I think this would greatly reduce the mess in current wiki ecosystem,
