Yes I tried to convince the ML that prelinking /nix/store is sort of
deterministic, but could not get traction. IIRC there is a decent startup
improvement.
OS X does it well, there the dyld automatically does prelinking on the fly,
storing the metadata elsewhere.

is there a simple way to just run binaries in nixos ?
stuff like go binaries or other bits and bobs ?
ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked,
interpreter /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2, for GNU/Linux 2.6.26
./my-binary
bash: ./my-binary: No such file or directory
Replace the interpreter path. But there might be dependencies (try ldd)
that it relies on that you also need to substitute.

They are not holes if you mean security, they are stability and data
integrity issues we regulary step into as server load and number of
files grow.
The fourth issue is https://lkml.org/lkml/2016/11/24/721, it has not
its own nixpkgs ticket, discussed in

Sadly prelink conflicts with ASLR which is an important security
feature. There is an option to statically randomize addresses but it's
then as good
