a deposit specifically assigned to an expense bucket is an expense,

This bug has been reported and is being fixed in the 1.4.2 patch. Just
delete that bucket or exit without saving the document. MoneyWell
saves every 5 seconds so you can't lose too much.

Are you seeing transactions from only one of these accounts? If so,
this is something that I'm fixing in the 1.4.2 patch. The OFX import
originally was not designed to handle multiple accounts in one file.

simply make it a cash only transaction and that
money is transferred to the cash account. As you spend money in that
cash account, you assign buckets to each of those transactions.

Yes, user-defined smart buckets are coming in the 2.0 release. That
will be later in 2009 because we are working on an iPhone version,
MoneyWell Mobile, to sync with MoneyWell for your desktop first.
