Each bank is a bit different and some make it very hard to find the
download links. Typically it is a link on their webpage that's visible
when you are viewing the account detail. Most sites also offer a
"Search" option and you can search for download or OFX or QIF and find
more information.

Just to educate me, can you help me understand the various ways that
banks do downloading or point me to where I can read about it?

[No Thirst Software] Re: Automatic Download: Change Password

2009-01-03 Thread Mr. Danno Sullivan

I had to do this same thing (setting up an account at Union Bank of
California). I messed about trying to find a demo of Quicken (no luck)
and then tried iBank. That did the trick.

Once I changed the password in iBank, downloads worked fine in MW.

I actually felt a little guilty using iBank’s free demo just to set up
a competitor’s software!

Good luck,

This is missing from MoneyWell and I'm trying to fix that in 1.4.2. If
you want to access your account with a demo of another product for now

Both the Navy Federal and Bank of America military bank accounts work

download" and an "OFX server," but either way Quicken is able to
download transactions from each bank tranparently to me.

2008-12-22 Thread bluegol...@gmail.com

Yes, you have the correct website. You will notice that they have a
slightly different login than most banks, in that they have three
fields that must be populated, plus they allow for multiple account
numbers. Ideally, you should use the overarching access number, as
that allows access to all subordinate accounts, and even accounts that
one is a joint or custodial owner of. Then, they have both a user ID
and also a password. I can name several products that all seem to
access them with no problem (Yodlee, Mint, Quicken, etc., etc.)

I also have this problem with other accounts, too, such as my Bank of
America Military Bank accounts. It also tells me that direct download
is not available, BTW. They are at https://www.bankofamerica.com/military/.

[No Thirst Software] Re: Automatic download

2008-12-21 Thread Robert

Just so I'm clear (re: an earlier post of mine :-)): the fact,
however, that my copy of Microsoft Money can connect directly to and
automatically download from my two banks (TD Bank and ING Direct),
however, DOESN'T mean that Moneywell can necessarily download directly
also? (because Microsoft is using a proprietary protocol, unlike
Quicken?) Just want to make sure I'm clear! :-)
