Perhaps you should remove (or rename first) nppcm.dll from the Notepad++
installation
folder. nppcm = Notepad++ Context Menu?

"Error creating process: nppcm.dll" (Help forum)

Here you can download v4.8.5 OR :
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=95717&package_id=102072

In this version some crash bugs are fixed, and 2 included plugins are enhanced
: Doc monitor and MIME Tools.
Doc monitor plugin allows user to keep opened documents update silently, by
scrolling at the end of document automatically. It's done for visualizing the
log file.
In MIME Tools plugin, the old base64 encoding/decoding functions are kept, the
new quoted-printable encoding/decoding functions are added.

Notepad++ v4.8.5 fixed bugs and added features (from v4.8.2) :

1. Fix crash bug while a "New 2" is in session.xml.
2. Fix the Drag N Drop text bug between 2 views.
3. Fix the annoying acrobat reader dialog problem.
4. Fix the bug that the first new document encoding is not set as the setting
in "New Document settings".
5. Fix crash bug while running the command "Close All But Me" in some context.
6. Add scroll to end line feature after document reloading from disk.
7. Enhance checking modification from outside feature.

Included plugins :

1. TexFX v0.24a
2. NppExec v0.2 RC3.2
3. Spell Checker v1.3.1
4. MIME Tools v1.4
5. FTP_synchronize v0.9.6
6. NppExport v0.2.7.3
7. Compare plugin v1.5.1
8. Light Explorer v1.4
9. Doc Monitor v2.0

The auto-update will be triggered in one week, if this version is stable (for
vista, you have trigger it manually).

Enjoy,
Don

@Fool4UAnyway Thanks for the information, you're right, it had been reported
before, and i must say that i hadn't been able to find it. :)
Now that you've pointed it out, unfortunately i've seen that post hasn't
received
any official response from DonHO too.

Thanks, FC

Hi

I followed the instructions on the Notepad ++ site to totaly replace notepad
will notepad++. As soon as I have copied the new notepadd++ exe file to replace
the old notepad file in the folowing directories

   * Copy notepad.exe which comes with this package into 3 directories (in given
order) :
         1. c:\windows\system32\dllcache
         2. c:\windows\system32
         3. c:\windows

Windows seems to somehow replace the notepad++ file with the old notepad file.

Anyway if anyone knows why this is hapening and what I can do about it it would
be appreciated.

From
Melch

You have SmartQuotes on in Word, and it's converted the quote marks/apostrophes,
dashes and ellipses to extended ASCII sequences (what they actually are if you
look at the text outside Word, in a text/binary viewer). I can't remember if
Word removes those if you export to plain text - but chances are, you'll have
to turn off SmartQuotes/autoformatting, and retype all of those characters
before
you can copy/paste them to Notepad++.

Browse to the directory nppcm.dll is in (should be in the main directory under
the "Program Files" directory) and type the following:

regsvr32 /u nppcm.dll

You may have to provide the exact directory for regsvr32.exe (wherever it is
on your system -
example: c:\windows\system\regsvr32 /u nppcm.dll
...it may be in a different directory, depending on the version of Windows
you're
using.)

After using the above command (it should say something like 'nppcm.dll correctly
unregistered', if I remember correctly) successfully, log off or reboot, and
you should no longer have Open with Notepad++ in the context menu.

When doing an "Find all in all open documents" for example for the word all.
only all as a whole word is hightlighted. If 'all' is present in another word,
for example 'callable' it is not highlighted.

Try to find all occurences of all like in 'callable'.

This sentence alone in a file gives 3 results but only the first two occurences
of 'all' are highlighted and this is in every result line.

The all in callable should be highlighted if "Match whole word only" isn't
checked.
When using "Style found token" is checked "Find all" produces right results
in the document view.

Finally since a result line is produced in the "Find result" pannel for every
found occurence, only the word which produced the result line should be
highlighted.

I'm just curious why someone would use their project to promote this sort of
thing, as someone said ealier, this is the sort of thing that destroys projects
so I hope no one takes it too seriously.

That being said, quite frankly, it could be considered a violation of
SourceForge's
ToS as related to http://alexandria.wiki.sourceforge.net/Terms+of+Use Section
4, Sub-section l.

You don't have to like China, but you can't not like them here.
