Bugfix?
If you change the tabulator size from 4 to e.g. 32 then the scrollbar doesn't
adjust properly to the new horizontal size of the document. I use notepad++
a lot to open and check tab delimited files and have then to enlarge the tabs
to a high value so that the header row is in sync with the rest of the columns

Another Feature I would like to see is that you can search and replace for any
kind of characters. The regular expressions feature seem to be the right thing
for that but when I search for "NUL" values and use \0 to do that, then it
doesn't
work. Do I do something wrong? I found a workaround however and used the hex
viewer plugin.

Cheers, Roman

Did you try to run Notepad++ 4.0 without plugins? Try to do this. If it will
work, add one plugin to the Plugins folder each time you start Notepad++. When
Notepad++ will crash again, you will know which plugin causes a crash.

Confirming. It seems to be a wrong pointer reference.

to hihp:
You can remove the Explorer plugin as yet and work with Notepad++ 4.0 without
it (I did so because of my Windows 2000). The bugs probably will be removed
in future version(s) of the Explorer plugin.

If your plugin is compatible with Notepad++ 3.9, I can try it (sources of ver.
3.9 is under VC++ 2003, but ver. 4.0 is under VC++ 2005). You can send your
files to dvv81 (at) ukr (dot) net.

Hello,

In Notepad++ 3.9 Alt+Space triggered Word Completion. In v4.0 it doesn't
anymore...
Ctrl+Space works, but it doesn't show me the words I've used earlier in the
document. Alt+Space provided me with a list of words I already used in the code
(variables, function names). How can I call that list now, in v4.0?

Thanks.

No, it does not.
Give us more detail, please. Do you use the Explorer plugin, did you try to
disable it? Can it be that the problem is in your .htm file size or long name?

I just wanted to say that I love the dockable plugins. I posted a message about
a dockable explorer some time ago and I'm really pleased to see it integrated.
Nice one!

Some english strings are not present in the "english.xml" file so I can't
traslate
them!!

As example: "Open All Recent Files" in the menu File

Plus: the strings in the "shortcurs.xml" files are not present in the
"engligh.xml"
file!
You need to modify the "shortcuts.xml" :-(

Hi,

* If I start dragging one of the dockable windows, then change my mind and press
Escape to cancel the dragging, I expect the dragged window to remain in place
where it was before I started dragging. However, Notepad++ simply crashes when
I do that, losing all my hard (ahem) work.

Yes, I could confirm it, too. The main problem is here, escape shouldn't close
docked or floated plugins! Additionally, there is no implementation to except
dragging of dockable windows with escape. Here I have to invastigate a little
bit more time.

But I ask myself: We have RCs for two weeks. There where some errors found,
but not so big one. Why you didn't play before with our releases ;).

* Another little bug is that when I close the Function list window with its
little 'X' button, the corresponding toolbar button doesn't reflect the changed
state.

When did you install the new version? It seems, that you have different versions
of Notepad++ and my plugins. For me it works perfectly.

* And the Hex editor doesn't work at all anymore. It does show up, but only
shows one line at a time, and displays the same information no matter which
line I select.

Interesting, also here. For me it works perfect! Could you send me your binaries
to have a look on the differences?

* As someone else already mentioned, could it be possible to stick to one font
for the UI?
Most notably, the Explorer plug-in uses MS Sans Serif all over, which is a
bitmap
font and so a) doesn't scale well, b) isn't ClearType-enabled. Please replace
that by 'Microsoft Sans Serif'.

I try to implement this in next release of Explorer Plugin.

Best Regards
Jens

SIDE BY SIDE PANELS

I would like to have the possibility to have side by side panels to compare
files. Practically, divide the windows in two panels, each one with its own
tabs.
