How can I define a tab character: \t, or ^t? Thank you. May be we should organize a vote for the best proposal. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Now, using this "original" version, everything is all right. Delete that file in explorer. Come back to notepad++. A dialog pops up asking whether to keep non-existent file in the editor. Click No - crashes. This scenario is pretty common when you are opening attachments sent via email where the attachment is saved to a temp location and deleted later by the mail client. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. This is a good feature, in my opinion, because what use would it be? But, when I decide to _not_ reload a file after it has been changed externally, because I want to keep it like it was, how do I manage to do this? I can't simply save the file again. I could Save As... under the same filename. This works. I could also change the file and rechange it to be like it was before (not use the undo feature), so NP++ marks the file as changed. I can save the file then. I was thinking about requesting the file to be marked as changed, if it is not reloaded. But this would mess up the undo-history. It would not be clear anymore that within NP++ really nothing has changed. Could you simply allow saving the file (Save me), if it was not reloaded? This doesn't mess with any undo-history: it won't mark the file as having changed. Because it can be seen that the file hasn't changed, it will be obvious that Save Me will be enabled because of an external (possible) change. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It has made my life 10 times easier. I'm asking for this to be done only with html tags. For example, in complicated nests, it would be nice to be able to click on the opening html tag and have the closing html tag that it pertains to highlight. Don & Jens, is this feature possible? Or in no way to be considered. Begging for this feature! -Jive ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I find that Notepad ++ is an extremely well designed and conceptualized piece of software. The the attention given to minute details of the user interface should give the engineers at Apple an inferiority complex. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Here is description of a small bug in highlighting of C/C++. Simply try this piece of code: #define DATA_CONFIG(nMode,Rate,Rate_4_,nDataRate) \ if (nMode == CONFIG_G) \ { \ nDataRate = (Rate) * MIN_DATARATE + (Rate_4_) * 200; \ } \ else if (nMode == CONFIG_G_1) \ { \ nDataRate = (Rate) * MIN_DATARATE + (Rate_4_) * 100; \ } \ else /*(nMode == CONFIG_G_1)*/ \ { \ nDataRate = (Rate) * MIN_DATARATE; \ } after comment /*(nMode == CONFIG_G_1)*/ code is not recognized as part of macro. And at all definition of a macro function is not in the "Function List" plugin. I think, here some time can be investigated to solve this. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It was possible to edit the text in the main tab but: closing or moving the grey tab leads to a crash of NP++. I found out the reason: This problems occurs always when I have an extension of the desktop on a second monitor... Please check out if there are problems while determining the monitors size. I would be very glad if you fixed that problem very soon, as I like to work with NP++ as well as with my second monitor Thank you for this nice program! Vielen Dank und have a nice day...
