Is it possible to edit the styler configuration with hex color codes?
I really can't find the right colors this way.

Also, how does the function plugin work?
It's always empty for me...

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

I am having a similar problem, trying to set { and } for folder begin and end.
It does fine identifying the {'s but NONE of the }'s are identified (even on
line by iteself).

It't just the braces -- the preckets and parens work fine, and it identifies
both sides.

I am using latest version of NPP 4.0.2.

Any suggestions?

correction -- if I define the } as close first and then { as open -- then its
oppisite -- it only sees the }'s and not the {'s. (Even if on line by itself
etc.)

Sorry for so many posts - but one more question. How can i get it to "not care"
if the { or } have stuff next to it. When it does notice them, it only notices
if it has spaces or new lines on each side.

When making a selection in Hex Editor mode by holding down the SHIFT button
and scrolling up/down using the cursor keys, the window won't scroll along.

When selecting by dragging the mouse it is not possible to scroll below/above
the current window, it won't scroll along.

Selecting by holding down the SHIFT button with PageUp/PageDown keys does in
fact result in scrolling, but using these keys by themself does not always
result
in the expected behaviour.

Correction once again -- i figured it out -- when I remove something from the
operators list -- it doesn't "take" until I add something else to the list.

I was messing arround trying to add it to the operators list to see if it would
get it to recognize the {}'s even though they had text next to them. In doing
so, even after removing the last one fromthe operators list, it was still on
there, until I added somthing else.

I tested by making my line comment char an operator, and all the comments when
unstyled -- then took it off the operators list -- still unstyled -- as soon
as I added a random other char as an operater, all mo comments where once again
styled.

Probably a bug.

I would still like to know how to make it consider any { or } as a folder
begin/end
even if it has text like this

{Q1: [2/13

Do you want to........

!cat
(1) 1 yes
(2) 2 no}

Thanks in advance for any help!!

This means that you have to adjust all the extension to use notepad++. I am
using the notepad replacement from the download page, so it does not work.

I open file New 1 in Notepad++, type
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm,
highlight it, click "launch in IE" from Run menu, the browser opens in
http://search.msn.com.hk/results.aspx?srch=105&FORM=AS5&q=new+1 instead.

And I open the file named Ad-Aware.txt saved in D:\Tools, and higlight
the http://www.lavasoft.de/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php from the file,
click "launch in IE" from Run menu, the browser opens D:\Tools\Ad-Aware.txt
in IE menu!

What's problem and how to solve it?

Thanks!

I've found out how to do it:

First:
replace the owner on:
C:\windows\notepad.exe and C:\windows\system32\notepad.exe
(Set owner to your user or to administrator just make sure you can write to it)

Then:
Replace permissions on both files (make it so that you have "full permissions")

Then replace both the files with the NPP launcher.

Et viola it works.
;-)

(I can't really take credit for this solution as I found it on this webpage:
http://www.mattberther.com/?p=828 although he speaks of replacing it with
notepad2)

In Notepad++ 3.9 when I typed a bracket, brace or quote it would automatically
close it with the corresponding character. Since installing version 4.0.2 I
seem to have lost this feature and I cannot find any mention of it in the
release
notes.

I cannot use the TextFX 'Autoclose {([Brace' feature as I am not developing
in a language which it recognises.

I just wondered if there's a way to restore the old functionality?

Thanks.

Ran for me on the first try, without restarting Notepad++

Good job guys.

Question: can any of the items in the Run menue (or other menue's) be
re-organized
(such as 'by name')?

For example, if I wanted to Run in Opera, and have it at the top of the Run
Menue (so that I don't have to look at the 'launch in IE' (urrr)), how could
this menue be re-organized to my preferences?
