OK - that example didn't work.

Imagine the previously posted code with sufficient tabs between each component
of the declaration and initialization to line up the data types, and the :=
on each line.

Please bear with me if this has been asked and answered a zillion times
already.
I looked thru the first 2 pages and didn't find nything.

When I load an .rtf formatted document to edit, along with the document text,
I also get this:

{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0\deflang1033{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset0 Arial;}}
\viewkind4\uc1\pard\fs28
\par
\par

I changed the formatting from ANSI to UTF-8. Made no difference. I just want
the text, no characters of any kind. It used to boot up that way, but because
I made no changes to any of the settings, it could be the upgrades have changed
some of the default settings.

Appreciate any help.

Wes

Is it possible to insert a character at the N number of characters in a text
file? Basically what I want to do is replace all carriage returns and linefeeds
in a file and then insert carriage returns and linefeeds after every 750 number
of characters. I'm dealing with a Fixed Width file whose row character count
is 750 but carriage returns certain fields is making the file a pain to import.
Is this possible?

Hi All,
I have been searching for this and have not come up with an answer (hopefully
someone can help). Love the program and use it for coding, but would love to
save a notepad session similar to a project file.

That is, assume I store all files into a project x, and x is initially stored
at "C:\oldcode\x", I then create a session which opens all relevant files and
then save the session. If I now move the project from its former location to
say "C:\newcode\x", when I now open the session I see a blank environment.
When I look at a saved session file from the previous directory I see all of
the files have full path names (and not relative ones like "..\x\code.c" or
"..\code.c").

I tried editing the session file to add relative paths but no joy. Also the
session file in the new folder gets completely overwritten so no paths or
filenames
are seen. If I had a copy of the project in the old folder then the saved
session
opens those files instead of the files in the new project.

Anyone else try to do this? or run into this before? Could this be a feature
request?

Thanks in Advance!
Great Tool!

You can do the following:
1/
Search \r\n
Replace with <nothing>
Select Extended mode
Replace all

2/
Search: (<750 dots>)
Replace with: \1\r\n
Select regular expression mode
Replace all

To write the row of 750 dots, just go on a blank line, presss '.' and hold until
the column counter on the status bar is ok. Then cut the line and paste in
search
field. The parentheses are required for \1 to work

Thanks a lot. Your method does insert carriage returns every 750 characters.
However, my logic doesn't work as all the rows are not aligned to eachother
after inserting the carriage returns :(. Is it possible to replace carriage
returns from a Column Selection?
