Did you follow the procedures listed

They sure will help everyone, if only by assessing whether one of your plugins
misbehaves or whether NP++ does.
Oh, btw, did you upgrade to 5.4.5? Please do that first, if applicable.

If you open your session.xml file, you'll see its structure is quite
straightforward,
so straightforward that you can edit the file to add some of your choice to

Some specific file extensions must be associated to your language. In the User
Define Language dialog, select your language and add your extension (list) to
the Extension text field. Close all, reopen NP++, should work.

Try contacting dv__, he wrote the plugin. Currently, the plugin spool on the
official website seems to be the only place to get the plugin from. I would
have uses for an Unicode version too.
There is an Encodings plugin that might be the successsor of ConvertExt. But
it is not available readymade as a dll - see the npp-plugins project file page
to see what is available.
And if you find a working address for him, eel free to update the Plugin Central
relevant entry :-)

These are two distinct ideas for improvement. Post them separately
on IdeaTorrent.
Don't be alarmed by the apparent lack of voters. SF broke the voting system
6 weeks ago. There is a workaround on the Open discussion forum, but it is not
the way things are supposed to work.

Try renaming your plugins directory - my favorite is "lugins" -, and see if
this appears to eliminate the crashes.
Id it doesn't, then please file a bug report.
If it does, rename the folder back, and now try eliminating individual plugins
i turn one at a time (renaming xyz.dll to xyz.dl works well). If you find the
culprit, please report back here (my gut feeling is that Window Manager
is involved).

Thx, it's great!
Tho it looses the checked state of the 'Navigation Bar' option, when I close
NPP++.
Strangely it keeps the checked state, when I manually close the navigation bar
before closing NPP++... oO
I don't remember this behaviour in the last version.
