Has it ever worked on your system, or is this a new installation of XML Tools? Have you got the ExternalLibs zip (from the npp-plugins XML Tools site) extracted so libxml2.dll is in the Notepad++ directory, e.g. c:\program files\Notepad++. If you've copied them to the windows\system32 (or wherever that is in Vista!) then it may find another libxml2.dll before it gets to that directory. Try copying the external DLLs directly to the Notepad++ program directory - it will look there first. At this point I am mainly doing straight HTML on ASP pages. I can't figure out how to highlight a chunk of plain text and wrap it in opening and closing <p></p> tags (or h1, h2, etc.). The other key command that I would like to figure out is how to close open tags. If I start a <ol> up at the top of the page, is there a way to automatically close it with a key command? There may be plugins that I need to download for this to work but both features 'seem' like they should be in there-I just can't figure out how to do it. Sunny PS. I downloaded Notepad++ yesterday and so far it works very well! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ------------------------------ Message: 4 Date: Mon, 17 Aug 2009 11:06:29 +0000 From: "SourceForge.net" <nore...@sourceforge.net> Subject: [Notepad-plus-plus] [notepad-plus - Open Discussion] RE: [feature add] - icons To: nore...@sourceforge.net Message-ID: <7566151.331...@sourceforge.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7566151 By: cchris Just to make things clear, in case they need it: I did not criticise your idea at all, just asked about an organisational issue. As I mentioned, technically speaking, it wouldn't be hard to add. The only criticism I'd make is that, for visually impaired people, pictograms are not that much easier to read than text, specially if they are small. But after all displaying them could be made optional, so this objection shouldn't be a hurdle. So, I am not sure of how relevant your latest post is, but who cares. Put your idea on IdeaTorrent since this is the preferred place to conveniently gather and assess feature requests, people will vote on it on their own - I know, it's a little difficult currently - and that will be it. If anything was, or remains, unclear in my point, please feel free to email me privately. I assume you only mean an unexpected behaviour, not a premature application shutdown. 2/ Clearly, the indentation is broken after pasting to NetBeans, or opening the document into it - does this make any difference? -. I'd suggest you to do two things: a/ In Notepad++, turn on displaying of all unvisible characters using View -> Show symbol -> Show all characters. Take a screenshot of lines 990-1008, so that you can see exactly where tabs and spaces are being used. b/ In NNetBeans, try enabling a similar feature, and compare the screenshots. Chances ae that the pictures will give you a clue, if not the straight answer. c/ If they don't, what happens when you reopen the document in Notepad++ after saving it in NetBeans? Did the indentation whitespace change? HTH CChris ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. The text is converted to the platform's normal Unicode encoding before being drawn by the OS and thus can display Hebrew, Arabic, Cyrillic, and Han characters. Languages which can use two characters stacked vertically in one horizontal space, such as Thai, will mostly work but there are some issues where the characters are drawn separately leading to visual glitches. Bi-directional text is not supported. Characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane are unlikely to work. Actually, a small plugin could, when activated, listen to the SCN_CHARADDED notification and move cursor one position left. While this may ?ake caret movements jerky, this would effectively cause consecutive characters to be printed right to left. Using the sticky caret option in Scintilla could even solve that I didn't try that. So, there is hope, but some work is needed. It's so frustrating and disruptive when you try connecting to a site and the connection status just freezes with the 3 lines. Now, when using Notepad++, I've developed an FTP-Connectaphobia. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. In my case it's Ruby with its 2-space tab convention that's the fly in the ointment. This does seem like something that should be configurable by language in some way, although I can definitely see the need for a global option as well. You know, one thing the languages with tab conventions seem to share is a preference for spaces over tables. Maybe this issue could be addressed by simply allowing Notepad++ to conform its behavior to the conventions actually in use in the current file. If the current file seems to use 3-space tabs, then new tabs are at 3-space intervals, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
