I've added a note at the scite-request Google Group, asking for help to create
a syntax highlighting script for SciTE, which might be instrumental in adding
support within Scintilla.. which might lead to it getting added to NP++!

Far fetched, but better start the wheels rolling, and besides, I can use SciTE
for my everyday wikitext editing in place of NP++.

That won't be necessary , but I was just wondering why SQL
doesn't have by default folding like java. How could I get this
to the developer? Would he take the time to answer..

By the way, your link doesn't work. Let me try :)

NThere isn't, because regular expression matching is a process which does not
assume any selected property. All that Notepad++ can do is to restrict the
search
to the selected area - hmm, soon _a_ selected area.

Could you detail under which OS versions you got the script running?
Does the script work under UAC and restricted privileges?
Tester input appreciated.

At any rate, this script will be put oon

If you could provide more detailed information, it would help:
1/ does the freezing relate to some sequence of actions?
2/ if you rename your plugins subfolder to say "lugins", do you still get the
freezes?
3/ If so, try unloading each plugin one at a time (renaming the dll to .dl is
effective)

That was just a warm-up (SCNR)

Let's see what is needed and reasonably achieved:
* Bold/Italic/Underline: could be rendered wysiwyg
* lists: a colouring for all list items? alternated colourings? colourings that
differ according to the last nested markum (* / # / ; / :)? this is to
be debated
* tags: highilght the html way
* tables: how fine grained should the marker go?
* templates: treat as autoclosing tags, with different markup
* [[Image:...]]: another autoclose tag
* Shortcuts: showing the piped part in a different way than the URL/page may
be cool

Did I forget anything of substance?

If what you wanted to say is "before and after each line", yes. For example,
if you want to have each line placed in a C comment, just ask to replace "(.*)"
by "/* \1 */" (without the quotes). Since NP++ search is line by line, the
".*" will select a complete line (otherwise we can search "^" for line begin,
and "$" for line end). The parenthesis are there so the matched text can be
refered later as "\1".

If what you want is add only once before and after a whole selected text, you
should use a macro. It seams that the simplest way is to "ctrl-x" (cut), insert
what you want at beginning, "crtl-v" (paste), insert what you want at end.

As explained in an earlier post on this forum, please send the correct wording

is done already :-)

Thanks in advance.

Plugin Manager 0.9.2 has been released.

This will be automatically updated in a few days, but I'd ask that people
download
and install it manually to give me some feedback that everything works.

The URL that it downloads the XML from has changed, and I won't be maintaining
the old one, so new plugins will only be seen in the version onwards.

Download:
http://www.brotherstone.co.uk/npp/pm/PluginManager_0.9.2_UNI.zip
http://www.brotherstone.co.uk/npp/pm/PluginManager_0.9.2_ANSI.zip

More info:
http://www.brotherstone.co.uk/npp/pm/

Changes:
    * Limit the automatic check for updated plugins to once every 3 days, which
reduces the load on our servers, and also quickens the startup of Notepad++
for the user.
    * Latest update added, so, on future updates, the update notice will be
shown on the notify window, and also on the updates tab.
    * Stability column added to the list, with the ability to hide the unstable
ones (enabled by default)
    * Newlines can now be added in the description, using \n, which makes them
easier to read
    * Ability to highlight a version as unstable (aka "bad"), which means that
a lower version number is notified for update.
e.g. Plugin version 1.2 is good, then 1.5 is released. Plugin manager
updates to 1.5, then stability reports come in about 1.5 not being stable. The
XML can be updated such that the latest version is 1.2, and 1.5 marked as
unstable.
Anyone who has upgraded to 1.5 will then be asked if they want to "update" back
to 1.2.
    * Plugins.xml and the validation database are now hosted on Sourceforge
    * Fixed an issue with removing plugins - the plugin file is now removed
properly
    * Fixed a potential crash issue if a temporary download file could not be
opened for writing
    * Fixed an issue if the plugin config directory needed multiple levels
creating
    * A couple of code tidy ups

Thanks, any feedback gratefully received... a couple of "works fine for me"
would be nice too, before I add this version to the automatic update ;)

Cheers,

Dave.

Hi

I'm the program Hungarian translator of the program itself. The webpage was
translated by Tam?s L?csei. I have sent an email to him to notice this.

BTW, the translation of the program was updated for 5.5 version. It will be
coming soon.
