Hello,

I'm trying to remove newline caracter in a document. But Notepad++ do not match
the string when i wrote "\n" or "\r" or "[\n\r]+".
If i want to insert newline, "\n" expression is working fine. But impossible
to match it...

Thanks for helping me.

OK - I've now got it working, but it seems to fail if tick it off in "Primary
View" then switch to "Secondary View" and switch that off. If you actually have
a secondary view showing, then it sometimes works OK.

Anyway, I'm happy!

Sivam,

I followed the steps to the letter and can indeed see my "functions"
in the list on the right, but I couldn't get any collapsing! With
a simple x.txt:

`test1
aaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
``

`test2
aaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
``

` block 3
aaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
``

The above would list the 3 functions (and highlight them
when I entered the block), but no collapse! No [-] or [+]
icons on the left either. Any ideas? I'm using V 4.0.1.

Thanks in advance,
Slo

Yay!

Notepad++ 4.0.1 has a nice View toolbar for Explorer, Favorites, Function List,
and Hex View.

Very nice.

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, Buz! Worked for me.

For comments, I use Lucida Console (my old eyes prefer 9 point)

BTW, the stylers.xml file N++ 4.0.1 uses can be found in:

\Documents and Settings\YOUR_LOGIN_NAME\Application Data\Notepad++

Is there any way to have n++ change the tab prefs (size and replace by space)
for each language? I like having 4 wide tab characters in C but 2 wide space
tabs in ruby, and it's a pain to change back and forth when I open a file in
a different language. If somebody could point me in the right direction I could
probably write a plugin to do it if it's not too hard, but I don't have a whole
lot of free time on my hands.

Go to the Download section to download the newest version.

v4.0.2 fixed bugs (from v4.0.1) :

1. Fix the crash issue regarding the docking feature.
2. Fix the crash issue for Find in files feature.
3. Fix the crash issue while pressing close button in Windows dialog (menu
"Window->windows...").
4. Fix the bug that the docked dialog can not be resized by dragging splitter
under w98.

Don

Slo,

You should have a space after `. Try this,
` test1
aaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
``

` test2
aaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
``

` block 3
aaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaa
``

thanks for the advice, but as you said, it can be streamlined to the point where
it is actually useable, since there is a plugin for hex editor mode, integrating
a simple x0Dx0A or something similar seems to be a pretty fast addition that
would be more useful that even the UI workovers with docking that are happening
now, and there is little room for it not to work from the getgo.

i'd like to see what Don thinks of this, since the buck stops there :) Don?

regards,
Leon
