Hi I remember to be able to view text as HEX digits and now this option is
hidden
and I cannot find it. Do you know how to view text file as hex? Thanks.

Hi,
At first , I must appreciate you created a so wonderful tool for us . ^^
I have a small question... ^^
Before Notepad++ 4.7.5 (included 4.7.5), I can use 'XLiu input method' to type
chinese in Notepad++ without any problem. ^^
(XLiu is a chinese input method,please visit:

But,after I upgrade notepad++ to 4.8.2, I found I can't use 'XLiu input method'
to type chinese in Notepad++.
I don't know what happen. Could you help me to find out what's going on ? ^^

Remove HexEditor plugin and MultiClipboard plugin, that sohuld fix your input.
Its a known problem nad hopefully these plugins wil lsoon all be fixed :)

The problem has been corrected, thank you for the input, the bug was rather
unclear untill now :P
Find dialog now makes sure text is in view and if the text cannot be found,
the error message adds (part of) the searched text for clarity

I didn't have a "Notepad++" directory in my "C:\Documents and
Settings\...\Application Data" directory, so I created one an then put a copy
of my config.xml. That worked for me.

No, I left it at the defaults since, afaik, you cant set the original value
back. If the token is at the edge there is (unfortunatly) no extra spacing,
Scintilla just doesnt seem to have many ways of properly scrolling the view
(vertical is difficult, horizontal is a distar =]).
Theres much more than can be done for Notepad++, so just take a look around
and see if something needs fixing badly if you need a challenge :P. The
bugtracker
is an ideal source of problems.

In windows xp sp2 or windows xp sp3 4.8.5 crashing every time. 4.7.5 works

Have you tried 4.8.5? It should have shift-backspace added to the shortcuts
by default (because thats what it actually is =]).
Clean out your shortcuts.xml if it doesnt get added (ie remove all scintilla
keys)
