Read this message and the thread referred to:

I also find this:

Just forget about macro's completely. Do what you
want to do by using the right tools for it. Take a look at this message and

I guess it would be a great tool if there was a dialog that would allow handling
of lines, marked in _any_ way, based on the list composed on all possible types
of marking, and all actions possible.

Type:
_ Bookmarked
_ Marked (1)
_ Marked (5)
_ Marked (All)
_ Syntax Highlighted
_ ...

Action:
_ Cut
_ Copy
_ Paste (would be a little weird)
_ Delete

Target of action (or result):
_ Current document (Cut, Delete)
_ New document (Copy = Paste, Delete)

Perhaps this would result in two general actions, Cut/Delete and Copy/Paste,
with possibly a checkbox for also copying the processed lines (Deteled or
Copied)
to the Clipboard.

So, cutting/deleting bookmarked lines to a new document would create a new
document
without the unwanted lines. Checking the Clipboard option would move the deleted
lines to the Clipboard (or perhaps also to a new document?).

Would that do? I think it would be _very_ convenient.

I had a few problems getting a spell-checker plugin to work correctly with
Notepadd++
After several attempts and in this order, it worked!

From: http://aspell.net/win32/

1: Install GNU Full Installer "Aspell-0-50-3-3-Setup" to default location:
C:\Program
Files\Aspell
2: Install "Aspell-en-0.50-2-3" (English dictionary)
3: Install Notepad++ "npp.5.4.1.Installer" to ?C:\Program Files\Aspell\bin?
4: Launch Notepad++

Hi,

I tried to install the last version on Vista - but I get an exception.
Is it supported?

Thanks,
Oz

Highlighting of the matching braces, this is a scintilla function.

As for highlighting matching tokens/tags/delimeters/etc... well, that would
typically be a function of the specific language styler ( lexer ) in use. Some,
like the PowerShell external lexer plugin track quotes, literals, here-strings,
escapes, and more making it easier for the coder to read what they wrote;
others,
like the HTML styler matches do similar but with respect to the mark up language
or embedded scripting language in use.

I was able to reproduce this behavior only when a document was cloned; and then
only sometimes. If anyone has found some sure fire steps to reproduce this
behavior as well the the actions that cause it to suddenly work correctly please
post!

I am using a programming language which has functions and variable name with
dots like EB.READLIST(PARAM1,PARAMn...) etc
When I create an API with this function, the editor is able to autocomplte the
keyword but its not treating it as a function ie The function hint is not
showing
even after enabling the function hints from preferences.

Can notepad++ support functions whose identifiers have dots (eg EB.READLIST)

Please helppppp!

Further testing shows this might be a Win7 issue only.

Need others to confirm.

When I opened N++ with a previous session that had multiple documents in both
views all I need to do is click a hidden document tab in the main view and the
instance starts.

I'm using it fine with Vista Home Premium. I don't know what could be causing
your problem, except that your setup file may be corrupted. Try re-downloading
it.

whit regular expressions.

very dificult for me.

for the highlight you must edit the file langs.xml in the notepad++ folder.
