Oops, the code formatting is wrong. I meant:

if ( a )
{
....some_expressions_go_here();
....}

and it should look like that
if ( a )
{
....some_expressions_go_here();
}

Couple of problems with the new version

1. Find in Files results are not wrapped

2. Incremental Search looks out of place. Maybe it can be docked?

3. Would be great if Find/Search Replace could be docked too in future versions

Also, it'd be great if there is a snippets plugin in future versions.

Great work!

Couple of suggestions for future versions:

Auto Refresh after a file is deleted

Add Projects Group in the Favorites Tab. Tasks could be sub-items and can be
marked as done or as in progress.

Add Snippets Group to the Favorites Tab. Snippets (Title textbox and the snippet
itself). Upon double click the snippet would be inserted into the document.

If you want something Notepad++-ish on OS X, take a look at Komodo Edit. It
is based on Scintilla, like Notepad++, so the syntax highlighting, code folding,
etc that you are probably familiar with will still be there, plus some more
features. It is a XUL based app, so it consumes quite a bit more memory than
our beloved Notepad++ (~60MB), but it is the closest we can get on a mac for
now.

But really, it would be great to have a Cocoa-based NP++, too ;)

well, it's the same as in many other windows application <STRG>+<TAB> to switch
forward and <STRG>+<SHIFT>+<TAB> to switch backward. In addition you will get
a list of all open tabs where you can see which is active and to which you can
switch next.

You are right, I can reproduce this behavior - generally. But if you use the
"TextFX Settings" "Autoclose {([Brace" you'll get the closing brace immediately
after you open one, and it will be aligned correct.

How about extending the feature Trim Trailing Spaces, or adding a new one that
will trim all trailing blanks / white spaces? Trim Trailing Spaces is
convenient,
but it's annoying to notice there are some lines ending with a TAB character.
Could you also remove these in one pass, please?

The Settings -> Preferences -> Global -> Enable document swither (Ctrl+Tab)
was nice.... but it would be much more easier to put it on a window, just like
the function list plugin? does anyone agree? cause intuitively it was much more
comfortable, and the document order won't change everytime we switch the
documents.
I love the behavior of the Textpad's documents selector.

Hi, using ver. 4.0.2

When editing xhtml files and doing for example;

<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="main.css" />

or

<img src = "fgdfgf" />

the " />" at the end of the tag is not highligted. I looked in the various
configuration files but didn't find a way of defining the parameters for
recognising
the end of a tag. Now, when I switch the language over to XML the highlight
works fine, but I would rather not have to do that for every xhtml file I open.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thankyou

See also http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=3970481.

It seems the file history list only contains _saved_ files, not _opened_ files.
Why is this?

Please change this feature so it will add _any_ file that is opened in
NotePad++,
remembering the number of entries specified in Preferences (History File
Settings).

It's a small, but annoying bug, when using Word Wrap. I didn't check if this
was mentioned before. At least the subject is clear now, I guess.

When I reach the end of the line and I am already on the last fully visible
line and keep typing, NotePad++ moves the currently typed word (already) to
the next line but does not show this line, which I would expect. NotePad++ only
scrolls after I type the first non-alphanumeric character, i.e. when the typed
word is apparently finished.

Is it possible to make NP++ scroll, moving the next line up so it will already
be shown, as soon as the typed word is moved to this new line?

I have the same problem with Ctrl+Shift (mayus) + up/down.
When the row i am moving "collides" with an empty row, "my row" stops and then
which I move is the empty one.

Another bug ( or strange behaviour ) that occurs since some versions ago is:
     1- I copy/cut some selected text with Ctrl+c / Ctrl+x.
     2- Select another string of same document and apply an action to it (
delete,
move with Ctrl+Shift+Down... )
     3- Then when I go for paste the first text I coppied/cutted, notepad++
pastes an empty string, so long as the second string I selected in Step 2.

I'm sure that I don't copy/cut again in step 2. It happens so often that's
annoying...

Anyway, notepad++ is a great app! I use it in my job everyday for programming
my apps and webs!
