Also Ideally I would like a compile and execute button to hit. Is this possible? I can not test it, so please let me know if this part is fixed. Yes, this problem fixed. Thanx! But the problem with switching between Tabs with Alt+arrow without showing menu not fixed :( ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Can you tell me how to assign a shortcut key to this function? The shortcut mapper is baffling: how am I supposed to know what to type in the text box for a name, to map the function? I have tried creating a macro using start recording - selecting text - choosing TextFX/TextFX Tools/Word Count - stop recording but the macro doesn't seem to record and I can't play it back. Any suggestions? Zoe ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I can't really work with this one: I have a file containing a tabbed data table. I generated new content for this file and copied the new table data from another application. I pasted this data in N++ to replace the data in the file as saved before. I then removed the last couple of tabbed columns using CTRL+R and regular expression. Like always I try the regex for a couple of lines and then replace all/rest. I saved the file. I now wanted to Undo my remove action, because I want to store a variant of the file with a couple of other columns removed. I wanted to use another regex for this. However, when I pressed CTRL+Z my file immediately had its original contents back! All my activities seemed to be stored as one (Undo) action. Now I would expect N++ to at least distinguish between a paste action and a replace action. That is, I should be able to at least go back to the situation before replacing (removing last columns). The funny thing is, when I do all these actions in a new file, it works as expected. I can Undo every single step, including each manual replacement for the first lines. Is there something (wrong) with opening a file and marking an Undo-event (StartUndoAction or something like that)? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I couldn't do it. After pressing CTRL+Z for a couple of times, nothing further happened. I looked in the menu and saw I couldn't Undo anymore, but my document of course wasn't the same as the file I saved before. It seems my unlimited Undo capability was lost somewhere... I guess this may have something to do with a number of activities put together to be one Undo action. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Now replacing all contents and removing columns also worked as expected. It seems, though, that there is _something_, some kind of action or activity, that messed (messes) up the Undo actions history list. I know that previously not always any StartUndoAction was matched with an EndUndoAction later, but it seems there are scenarios where this still is not the case. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. It is a piece of amazingly convenient software. One question here: Does Notepad++ support Simplified Chinese to Traditional Chinese conversion? It'd be nice to have such a feature. Is this functionality just not in NPP, or is there a plugin that provides it? Other than that, I'm fairly happy with it. Also, I'll throw it in as I saw another user request it. Having a TODO list with checkboxes for completed tasks for a project would be FANTASTIC! I have yet to see any other OSS/Freeware editor that provides such functionality. Thank you! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
