Include empty file: doLocalConf.xml in the directory and all config files will load from current directory. (Download the .zip version instead of the installer.) ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I guess, I should have been clearer. I defined a Fortran Free Form as a language but I want to use the "function list" plug-in as well. Thanks, though. So re-iterate my question, how would you define a fortran 90 subroutine/function so that Function list recognizes it as a function: subroutine ex_sub(x,y) ... end subroutine ex_sub cheers, ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I still use the command line quite a bit for all sorts of tasks (as opposed to doing them through explorer or some other graphical environment). Text editing of files is really easy with textpad as I can navigate around in the dos window and then simply type the command textpad filename and this will automatically start textpad and load the file. The feature that is great value here is that textpad is able to pick up the current directory and prepend that to the filename... e.g. I don't have to provide the fully qualified file name. This of course requires that I add textpad to the system path but that is no issue. I've tried to reproduce this in notepad++ and haven't found a way to do it. Can this be done in notepad++? btw textpad supports this for multiple files and wildcards too which is way cool e.g. textpad *.xml will load all of the xml docs in a directory - each one in a tab. ok... I think I just figured out a workaround I created a batch script called np.bat and placed it into the same directory as notepad++.exe and then has a single line %notepad++ %CD%\%1% so I can now cd to any directory and just type 'np filename' and it loads notepad++ with the file loaded this needs a good bit more error handling but it gets the job done... it would still be nice if the product had built in support for this. In this century, you can also add the desired executable to the registry, causing you a lot less search efforts when just typing a command (filename). ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. You can specify the default application for a given extension and it will automatically open up the application associated with that file type. For example you can type in filename.html file and whatever application is designed to view html files will automatically start (typically a browser) - thats not very helpful when you want to edit the html file. You could of course change the association of the html extension so that it is associated with notepad++ but then it breaks the html functionality which lots of applications rely on for displaying various artifacts within a browser. If there are other ways to register an application I'd be interested hearing about this functionality as I'm not aware of it (and apparently neither is microsoft as you'll find both windows and system still to this day in the default system path - try and remove them and see how well your system runs) ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. My suspicion is that something about the zip archives are corrupting the ASCII files (assembly code, header files, etc.) I'm not sure how to prove this, but I digress. I'm running XP SP2. I've updated NP++ to 4.6. I can open all manner of other ASCII files with no crashes, just not the ones that originated from the Freescale zip file. I've tried re-downloading the archive to no avail. The type of crash gives me one of those "report the problem to Microsoft". Here's my Event Viewer output: <FONT face="Courier New">Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: None Event ID: 1000 Date: 12/3/2007 Time: 1:41:20 PM User: N/A Computer: ROB Description: Faulting application notepad++.exe, version 4.6.0.0, faulting module notepad++.exe, version 4.6.0.0, fault address 0x00055898.
