Hi,

Can you send me the Explorer.ini file from your
%APPDATA%\Notepad++\plugins\config\
folder?

In addition I would like to send you a modified version in next days to do some
trace outputs. I would like to know why it hangs.

Some additional information are necessary:
- Can you tell me your OS?
- Can you tell me if you have installed Tortoise or other Windows Explorer
extensions?

Please use the mail address of one of my plugins! "HexEditor/Spell-Checker".
Subject: notepad++ taking 99% of cpu

Thx and BR
Jens

Hi,

For further information it would be good to know the content
of %APPDATA%\Notepad++\plugins\config\Explorer.ini file?

In addition I would like to send a modified version to do some trace outputs.
I would like to know why it hangs on such systems.

Some additional information are necessary:
- The specific OS
- Are there installed Tortoise or other Windows Explorer extensions?

Please use the mail address of one of my plugins! "HexEditor/Spell-Checker"
- Subject: notepad++ taking 99% of cpu - for the ini file or post it here. But
in this case I need your mail address to contact you.

Thx and BR

I use the collapse feature to collapse subroutines and "levels". I also use
Ctrl-Shift-Up/Down to move lines up/down.

I'd like to see those two functions work together; if the cursor is on the
header
line of a collapsed section, Ctrl-Shift-Up should move the entire section up.

It' scintilla and not notepad. I am agree, too! But all Editors with scintilla
uses this regex style. An additional implementation for PCRE or other libs takes
time.

Best Regards
Jens

I have default language set to normal text. As about a thousand people
complained
of this bug for the last 10 years, it seems they still have not fixed the save
file to default .txt format. You still have to type filename.txt. This is
extremely
annoying and amazing that this most critical function is missing from a "text
editor". I think the developers are lost.

Wehn do you plan on fixing the save as default .txt format so we don't have
to type in .txt extension everytime we save a file? This bug was reported ample
times.

AFAIK, there's no bug about it in the newest release v4.7.5.
And the behaviour of "save as dialog" feature is correct for me,
so it won't be changed in the future releases.

Search in the forum then you'll find the disscussion about this issue.
