Same here, installed 4.8 yesterday and after clicking Finish my PC rebooted
without warning (as if the power was switched off and immediatly back on).
Since I upgraded to 4.8 I also suffer from STOP errors at random times during
the usage of Notepad++. I'm going to downgrade to the previous version
for now...
Running XP SP2 Pro, also on a P4 2.8 GHz, but with 1 GB of RAM.

without
confirmation.

When finding in all opened documents, all cursors goes to the start of every
document, this is very annoying.
Also, double clicking on search results doesn't work properly, the cursor
suddenly
stops going to correct line (it only works 3 or 4 times, and then goes anywhere,
but always to the same line).
Also, pressing backspace while pressing shift writes a strange character. This
doesn't happen in 4.7.5.

I've also a problem with this version. When I drag and drop several text files
(4 text files) to the npp icon to open them, the program instantaneously
crashes.
