I installed Notepad++ 4.8 on top of my current installation. Notepad would not run. I uninstalled Notepad++ and removed the subdirectories. I reinstalled and it is now running properly. Great program. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I click on "Download" > "Browse all files" Then I click on "Download" (white on green) in the "npp 4.8 bin" row. At that point I get "You have selected to download the npp 4.8 bin release." Indeed I have, but now what? I get a tree that I can expand and collapse, beautiful, but where the **** do I click? Sourceforge has never been a champion of usability (remember when you had to click on the "010101001010100" icon to download?), but this is way beyond me, I give up. Please help, I'm too stupid. Tried with both IE and Firefox. Thanks. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Thanks. >> I have old C code somewhere > This must be really old code. I take it you haven't done much programming lately. Obviously a brain like you wouldn't call what I do programming because bviously you do a lot of **** sucking. >> (and possibly still widely used by an international company I used to work for) > Yeah, right, sure. You must have been really gooood. Doooogooooooooder??? I just made it up for no reason. I need to beef up my "nobody" image. Does anything you think make sense? Dogooder?? >> except you lose the challenge of writing a good regex. > Lol, do you mean to say this job was challenging and that you put up a good regex? A good regex would be one allowing you to enter the number of repeats, instead of having to repeat the number of times yourself and having to count to make sure that or hope it will work out right. lay off posting here if you can help it - i'm sure i'm not the only one who feels this way ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I'm still working on these. One of the next things I'm planning to do is add an icon, which should fix most of the tab issues. I might shorten "Simple Script" to just "Script" or possibly "SScript" on the tab. >The menu with the various functions (changing case, clipboard functions, >loading and saving files etc) is too small. Do you mean the font size, or the window? There's not much I can do about the font size; it's already tight for space, and expanding it may do more harm than good. If you're concerned about the window, I can add a splitter that will allow you to make it bigger. >I still don't know how to close your plugin. Click the "X" in the upper right if it's the only one docked, or middle-click the Simple Script tab if there are others docked. >In explorer pluging there is a "v" sign in the plugin menu. It's a good idea, and maybe I'll add it eventually. The only problem is I don't know how to capture events from Notepad++, such as the event that fires when the window is closed from another method, which I would need in order to update the check mark on the menu. I'm planning to fix all of these. I just haven't had time to work on Simple Script lately. Version 1.13 was mainly to address the docking issues. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. There's some overlap, but they serve different purposes. Simple Script can be used to convert all of the special characters in a document with a single pass, and CharM is good for a quick conversion of a single character. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Moving this file to a new computer will transfer the shortcuts. Keep in mind, it's an all-or-nothing thing. You can't transfer only some of the shortcuts this way. Technically, you could edit the Shortcuts.xml file to copy and paste just the ones you want to transfer, but it's probably just easier to record them on the new computer. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Could you try it out and see if this time around you actually get something on the clipboard? Ive tried multiple files and the data seems to stay within memory bounds. -Harry http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=189927&package_id=256744 ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. (maybe using a lookahead priority?...i think thats how brace matching currently functions) the SynWeb component (dev-PHP, phpDesigner Pro) or Gridinsoft notepad are good demos of this. dynamic highlighting of matching tokens/tags and dynamic autoclose are probably the most useful features of any programming editor (maybe aside from automatic indentation and syntax coloring) ideal autoclose for tags would work like in dreamweaver, closing the last unclosed tag when a user types </ ...or is this something that needs Scintilla recoding? thanks, Leon ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
