Hello,

I just tried out the possibilites of the favorites in NPP 4.7.5. I created links
to files in the [Files] section, added some groups, moved the links there...
But when I tried to delete a link, Notepad++ crashed! Is this a known bug that
will be fixed in the next release?

Greetings,
Thomas

Humm...

Please paste the data from the DBG log from the plugin.
Open the file, set a breakpoint and run the script.

I'll see what that tells me.
And what is version of the plugin are you using?

Best,
-Zobo

I did some operations (add some links and deletes them), it works for me without
crash.
Can you reproduce the crash 100%?
If yes, could you post your complete procedure so that I can try to reproduce
it?

Thank you.

Don

I just reproduced the crash by cutting and pasting operations to move the links
into the groups.
What is your OS? xp or vista?

Don

The way i fixed the probem of elevation in vista is like this:

under c:\program files\Notepad++\

I set the compatibility to "run as windows xp with service pack 2" and all my
problems were gone.

Don't forget that the file that you place in c:\windows and c:\windows\system32
is just a launcher.

I created a user-defined language for Oracle PL/SQL. I'm now trying to get
the Function List feature working but can't seem to make it happen. The only
language that shows up in the list is "User Defined".

I today for the first time installed Notepad++ and I can type in ?, ?, ?,
... etc. letter (from Polish language, unicode) but failed to type ?, ?,
?, etc. (from Hindi, unicode)! It seems this is problem with Notepad++ only
and not with the settings.

Moreover, while Find/Replace'ing unicode letters, eg. the letter ?, Notepad++
replaces it with c (ordinary c!). In other words, it tries to find 'kochac'
(no such word in Polish) when 'kocha?' is meant. PSpad has advantage at this
point, but overall, Notepad++ is superior owing to lots of features. Good
editing!
:)

Is it possible to set Notepad++ to autodetect and select the language of a
source
file upon opening it?

i.e. I am opening a lot of php and css files and each time, I have to manually
set the language to get the pretty syntax highlighting.

--Excellent editor btw - it sees a lot of use :-)

Hi Greg
Thanks but it doesnt work like that on my xml files.
The - mark is next to the section headings eg:
- <Section1>

and no '-' next to the comments area so collapsing anything will conly collapse
code. eg:

  <!-- My Section1 !-->
-    <section1>
        <default></default>
     </section1>
  <!-- More comments !-->
-    <section2>
        <default></default>
     </section2>

Anyone else?

Tia

wondering if notepad++ uses one of the following edit controls. it would be
nice because then notepad++ would be a little more accessible to disabled speech
recognition users.

see app note:
http://knowledgebase.nuance.com/view.asp?60VQ=IEDH&5d7r4B=N22yvpn6v10%205722146

from the app note:
"""
A window is considered standard if its window class name is one of the
following:

Edit

RichEdit

RichEdit20A

RichEdit20W

RichEdit50W

If the name is not one of those, then an edit control is still considered
standard
if its window class name and window styles are similar to those of standard
edit controls.

Examples of applications whose edit controls meet the above criteria are
WordPad,
Notepad, and any application that uses standard Windows dialog boxes such as
Open and Save As.
"""

thanks

Hello Don,

this is a known bug. I can reproduce it also here on my system. It is OS
independent
and this bug is on my to do list for next fix.
