I've installed 4.7.5, on xp sp2, (I followed the steps to completely replace ms notepad) but the problem is when open a file (from start/Execute...) n++ opens correctly, and opens the file, but is shows a grey area in the screen with a x (close). Is like the hollow left by a splash screen, and you have to close this 'ghost' dialog. Besides that, in the top area (below the tool bat) is a long area (1/6 of progam height) with the 4 bars (as title bar) of some ribbon tool bar, but is empty. Once you press the X, it vanishes... and on the ioght of the program's edit window, there is another empty tool bar header 4 lines, but this time without the X close button so it sits the all the time... and very ofthen I have crashes of the program... So I guess the problem comes with the installation proces... Anuy suggestion? Thanks in advance. Exactly. Plus I also use it as a handy reference to look up the ASCII codes of characters when I occasionally use a HEX Editor. --The only problem is that I have sometimes 10-100 files open and I have to run the script 10 til 100 times. I'm planning to eventually include a "Run on all open files" option in Simple Script, and perhaps the ability to run it on a series of files without opening them. You'll have to be patient though, because I've got some other features to add first before I can get to it. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Otherwise is too easy to check spelling and everything else when I get close to done. And given this is just as much a code editor (I infrequently use it for such) as anything else, this would be the very last thing I would want added as an option. The balance should be between lean and mean and doing everything you want but don't need. In Word, for example, Microsoft will do everything for you including walking you to the restroom and wiping your butt - without even asking. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I'm always using wrapping and noted that sometimes Quicktext doesn't work. Now I've seen that it is only within wapped text. Is this a bug? Is it possible to resolve this problem? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Nevertheless, many times things don't work the first time or two (program interface problems I presume) and the dialogs and windows could be greatly improved on. The highlighting (of "finds") feature is significantly missing. This is the first time I've mentioned any of this as I've left it to others. I'm not complaining either but trying to help. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. And IMO to enable "on the fly" with click a button is the same effort to start spell checking as it is currently implemented. Now that I know that there isnt, its OK however it would be nice to have this option, and if someone doesn't want it, he turns it off. Also I dont think that it takes too much resources, even firefox has this option, computers are kind of powerful today. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
