Accented characters not exported

No characters exported when I export to RTF some text with NPPExport 0.26 and
NPP 4.75 (copy/past or export). The not accented text is correct and the
accented
are lost.

Thanks

Adalan

Hello,

is it possible to show every 2nd line number in a different (background-)color?
For example, is it possible to set the color of the odd line-numbers and to
set the color
of the even line-numbers? Can I do this using a macro?

Many thanks for any hint!

Regards
Hans

How would you like wrapped lines to be colored?

Currently, you can (only?) bookmark the lines of your wishes (odd or even) using
a couple of features.

1. Select all text: CTRL+A

2. Insert Line Numbers

Menu____: TextFX
Submenu_: TextFX Tools
Option__: Insert Line Numbers

3. Mark Lines

Open the Find dialog: CTRL+F
Check: Mark Lines
Check: Regular expression

"Find what:"
^\d\d\d\d\d\d\dc_

Type as much \d's as there are line number digits, minus one.
At the end you should type a space character instead of the underscore _.
To mark odd lines, type 13579 instead of 02468.

Click Find All

4. Remove Line Numbers

When you use TextFX or Undo to (un)do this, the bookmarks will be lost,
unfortunately.

You can select the block of line numbers and remove them manually.
The bookmarks will remain then.

Press CTRL+Home.
Hold down the SHIFT button and press CTRL+End.
Hold down the SHIFT button and Press CursorUp.
Hold down the SHIFT button and press CTRL+CursorRight.
Hold down the SHIFT button and press CursorLeft.
Hold down the SHIFT button and the ALT button and press CursorRight.
Press Delete.

This will leave you with two undo actions in the buffer, but at least your lines
are marked.

I don't see an option for it in the Options screen in Firefox, but you can do
it through about:config.

In the address bar in Firefox, type:

about:config

Then hit enter.

Scroll to the bottom of the page. There are two preferences you'll need to
modify, and they're near the bottom:

view_source.editor.external
view_source.editor.path

If the value for view_source_editor.external is false, double-click that line
to change it to true.

Then double-click view_source_editor.path and type in the path and filename
for Notepad++.  For example:

C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe

You may need to restart Firefox before it will work.

"Find what:"
^\d\d\d\d\d\d\dc_

the find string should be:
^\d\d\d\d\d\d\d[02468]_

which is
^\d\d\d\d\d\d\d
>square bracket open<
02468
>square bracket close<
_underscore character_

This is a unicode related problem, Scintilla doesnt really support it very well
so the export goofs up.
Im considering a possible fix, but for now you have to try to use ANSI mode
and not UTF-8 or UCS-2. The new Notepad++ 4.8 supports proper conversion between
the two (that is, if the characters can somehow be mapped to ANSI), so see if
that helps (it wont export any non-westers characters or symbols)

I've posted the F90/F95 file several times, but I don't have it with me on this
machine. However, if you search these fora on "Fortran", I'm sure it will show
up.

Ver. 4.8 should fix the bug. That is, I submitted the bug-fix to Don, and he
confirmed that it had been merged in the developmental version.

In
Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Regional Options > Customize
> Date
set the Short date format to yyyyMMdd.

Then use TextFX > TextFX Insert > Date & Time - short format.

Somethign I find rather annoying is the context menu that pops up if you use
the documentswitcher, no matter what keys you use. It makes the list itself
hang too untill you click somewhere, can this be removed?

Thanks again for the input.

The regional customization is neat, but it requires a date separator, so I could
only get 2008.02.19 rather than 20080219 that I wanted.

Then I tried to record it as a macro. I started recording and did DATE:: then
went to the textfx menu and chose short date. It inserted in the file, but
when I play the macro, I only get the date part. Do macros not record menu
actions, or is it something else?

Then I noticed that ctrl+F5 does the textfx short date insert. So I did that
in the macro, but it stops at DATE::1.

I'm learning. More ideas?

Dave
