This shortcut Ctrl-Shift-I will be very useful. Before I was using regexp replacement before saving my makefile to change 4 spaces into tabs. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I finished programming the final button and crinkling out some of the finer details of the font editing box such as the setup so that the font size and name are selected when you launch the box - wrong type of *_SETCURSEL message got sent. Other than that, I think it is now a final verson of the feature and it just needs testing now. No problems here. And nice to be able to change all four colours. Well done! Please see if I understand the difference correctly: The "Encode in" options tell Notepad++ in what encoding to open files. For instance, if Notepad++ happens to incorrectly detect the encoding of a file as UCS-2 Big Endian, while the correct encoding should be UTF-8 without BOM, then I can select the option "Encode in UTF-8 without BOM" from the Format menu so that the file is correctly interpreted and displayed. The "Convert to" options tell Notepad++ in what encoding to save files. For instance, once Notepad++ opens a file and interpretes it with the correct encoding, I can change the encoding of the file on disk by using one of the "Convert to" options. If my understanding above is correct, I would suggest that the "Encode in" options be renamed to "Display as" or "Decode as". In any case, "Encode in" would be misleading because when a file is displayed in Notepad++, the file is being DECODED from the encoding and NOT encoded into the encoding. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Since I always write them for myself, It's kind of confusing to write like this because when I wrote the first one, the program writes the closing one, and right after I write the closing one by miself, so I end up with three brackets instead of two. I want to know if this is a feature of Npp or if this is a feature of a plugin, because I downloaded some plugins too, but I've been searching in the plugin options and I can't find that feature, so I think this is a feature on Npp. I'd appreciate any help in this issue. Thanks a lot. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ------------------------------ Message: 11 Date: Sun, 06 Apr 2008 09:42:29 -0600 From: "Idris Samawi Hamid" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [Notepad-plus-plus] Notepad auto closes "{([" To: "Camilo Uran" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: "notepad-plus-plus@lists.sourceforge.net" <notepad-plus-plus@lists.sourceforge.net> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; delsp=yes; charset=utf-8 On Sun, 06 Apr 2008 09:02:25 -0600, Camilo Uran <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, I've been using Notepad for some time, and I had the "autoclose > ({[Brace" option in the TextFx plugin disabled, so I usually wrote the > opening and closing brackets for myself, but now after updating to Npp > 4.8.2 > it always closes the brackets as soon as I write the opening one, and it > also closes > the quotation marks ("). Thanks a lot. See also the ConvertExt plugin, Options. Go to Options and make sure that Brackets Autocompletion is also off there.
