Hello

1. My XP host just crashed (for the first time in 2-3 months), and I lost every
open window :-/

Is there a plug-in for NotePad++ that can save/recover open pages like Notepad,
even when those windows weren't saved as files yet, ie. just stuff that was
copy/pasted from elsewhere?

2. I'm used to closing child windows with CTRL-F4, but NotePad++ doesn't seem
to support this out of the box, and requires the user to click on the X button
in the upper right-hand corner. Is there a way to add CTRL-F4 as a shortcut?

Thank you.

I'm using the Ruby styler.xml (available from the homepage) and i noticed that
EOL hidden chars inherit the default style (fgColor and bgColor at least) for
the specified language, while the TAB and SPACE indicators remain black
regardless
and nearly impossible to see on the navy blue background.

could this be a fixable bug?

thanks,
Leon

I see that there is a possibility to create up to 4 different keyword lists
for User Defined Language. Is it possible to somehow make additional keyword
lists for php or javascript for example. This would be very useful for styling
predefined constants/superglobals/predef functions/keywords differently.

regards,
Leon

I see I forgot to tell that this problem only happens if you cut a selection
with the key combo Ctrl+X. If you use the menu option Ctrl+X this does
not happen.

after some poking around in XML files i came to the conclusion that i will need
to modify the LexHTML.cxx and the Scintilla.iface

i'll need to add a switch/case to classifyWordHTPHP to change lexical states
for each respective additional keyword list.

one thing i dont quite understand is how "keywordlists" are loaded and
enumerated
for use inside these coloring functions. what dictates how keywords are grouped
before they are passed into this function:

static void ColouriseHyperTextDoc(unsigned int startPos, int length, int
initStyle,
WordList *keywordlists[],
                                  Accessor &styler, bool isXml) {
        WordList &keywords = *keywordlists[0];
        WordList &keywords2 = *keywordlists[1];
        WordList &keywords3 = *keywordlists[2];
        WordList &keywords4 = *keywordlists[3];
        WordList &keywords5 = *keywordlists[4];
        WordList &keywords6 = *keywordlists[5]; // SGML (DTD) keywords

keywords5 is the "PHP Word" list that can be seen in the styler.xml and
langs.xml
with styleId of 121, but what dictates that it is loaded into *keywordlists[4],
what would i need to do to pass my extra lists into this function?

thanks,
Leon

Hi to all.

First of all, thank you all for the wonderful work you are making.

NP++ is the best IDE for me.

I use it to write c/c++ software and it has a lot of very useful functions.

I'm asking you all: do you have in the list of the new features something about
the creation of project?

It can be useful something like this: you can define a project folder; in this
project you have additional features like advanced search ( you can use a cache
to speed up the search ) or a search the function declaration/definition.

Thank you for your wonderful work. Maybe one day I can offer myself in help
you for writing some small piece of code, if you like.

Antonio

Usually, when I save a file, current file line (i.e. where the cursor is placed)
is somewhere close to the middle of Scintilla's view area. But, after the file
is saved, my current line jumps to the bottom or top of Scintilla's view area.
I.e. befor saving I have similar screen:

ccc
ddd
[ee|e] <-- current line (in the middle)
fff
jjj

and after saving I have:

aaa
bbbb
ccc
ddd
[ee|e] <-- current line (in the bottom)

It's really very annoying. Why does it happen?
