I want to find all lines in a document that contain "i".
Here is what I start with ;
paxton etc.
pinite etc. etc.
taipei
tiepin
atone
axone
epona
inapt
inept
ionia
oaten
panto
patio
paton
Is there any way I can get....
pinite
taipei
tiepin
inapt
inept
ionia
In other words, find the lines without "i", replace them with
nothing,
and delete the empty line ? Leaving behind the list of words/lines
containing "i" without spaces ?
Can this be done in Notepad Plus Plus ? If so then could someone give
me the steps/syntax please ?

Hello,
A long time ago I found 2 bugs in npp v4.5 or even earlier, they are also exist
in current release ? 4.9.
1.Quick comment shortcut (ctr+q) doesn't work in SQL files. Commented tex
should
look like this: ?-- some test?. Multi-line comment shortcut (ctr+shift+q)
works fine.
2.Multi-line comments doesn't colapse in PHP, JS and SQL files.
I also want to point out that sometimes, when I have a lot of files opened (20
or more), after several minutes of work, npp start to use 99% of my CPU power.
I suppose that some plugin can cause the problem, because when I try to run
npp without any plugins CPU usage was normal.
I have big request to you Don. Could you add possibility to seting new keywords
types in existing languages. I've tried to edit langs.xml and stylers.xml files
to achieve that.
I added this line to langs.xml (in <Language name="php"...):
<Keywords name="instre2">my_keyword</Keywords>
and this to stylers.xml (in <LexerType name="php"...):
<WordsStyle name="WORD2" styleID="127" fgColor="0000FF" bgColor="FFFFF5"
fontName=""
fontStyle="0" fontSize="" keywordClass="instre2">other_keyword</WordsStyle>
New keyword group appear in the ?Style configurator?, but colours of my
custom keywords didn't change. Look at the screen:

If there is some method to do it without changing source code, please give me
a hint, if not please consider implementing this, or at least tell me what
should
I change in source code and where to find it (function names, line numbers).
You could also consider possibility of making custom language using existing
one as a template or just option to edit existing language in current ?User
define language? GUI.
I have also some other minor feature requests:
- javadoc (/**...*/) comments style in other languages than Java, PHP in my
case.
- shortcut, or option in menu to quick hide (collapse) multi-line comments or
javadocs.
- initial collapsing some elements (functions, methods, comments etc.) like
in Eclipse.
- inline CSS coloring in HTML or PHP files (between <style> tags)
- JS comments (?//? or ?/*...*/?) between <script> tags in HTML files
using ctrl+q and ctrl+shift+q shortcuts (now there are standard HTML comments).

If you develop it step-by-step? Like completely rewriting a new program, but
for Linux? Notepad++ is just too great and it is such a pity other platforms
can't use it. I believe there will be some substitute for w32 api.

Hmm, it seems that this is not happening some time soon, although 64 bit OSes
have been out for quite a long time now but there are no 64 bit native freeware
Notepad replacements available. Or is it that I just haven't found one?

functions.

XML Schema + DTD Validation
---------------------------
Performs an XML validation against XML Schema (*.xsd file) and
DTD (*.dtd file). The function can also be activated to execute
after each file save.
Note: The validation performs an XML syntax check automatically.
So if you activate the auto-validation, you should not
activate the auto-syntax check (or it will execute twice).
Note: By default XSD validation uses schema defined in attribute
"xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation" of your xml root node. For
instance:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<foo xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance";
xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="foobar.xsd">

If it cannot find the attribute, the function opens a file
selection dialog and you can enter the schema manually.
However, the use of "noNamespaceSchemaLocation" attribute
is recommended if you enable auto-validation.
Note: DTD validation uses DTD declaration or definition given in
DOCTYPE element before the xml root node. You can either
specify external DTD using following syntax:

<!DOCTYPE foo SYSTEM "foobar.dtd">
<foo>
<bar>any value</bar>

or define the DTD inline like this:

Linarize XML
------------
Reformat XML on one single line only. The current version of the
function is not compatible with CDATA blocs, and format comments
also.
