Hi @ll,

Whenever I start Notepad++, the "system icons" in Light Explorer panel are not
displaying by default, although I had marked "use system icons" before. So I
have to re-mark "use system icons" every time I start Notepad++.

Could you please tell me how to avoid this?

Notepad++ v.4.9.2
Windows Xp Pro x64

Thanks for any help.

I'm a new user of Notepad++ v4.9.2 and am enjoying exploring its features
however
I cannot get word wrap to function. Whether the wrap option is on or off, the
function doesn't work and text won't wrap. Could someone please explain to me
how to make this function work or what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

I always thought Windows did its best to lock a file that was 'in use' (in this
case, being edited by Notepad++), so that you couldn't do things like rename
an 'in use' file... bringing about the need to make a copy of the file, rename
_that_, and then delete the 'original' once it's been released.

If that's the case, then it wouldn't be easy for such a feature to be
implemented
in Notepad++, at least with the standard DOS/Windows disk calls. (Of course,
I could be wrong.)

If you're starting Notepad++ with a shortcut, either on the desktop or in the
Start menu, right-click on that shortcut and open its Properties. There should
be a field in one of the tabs that says something like "Start in:" (note: I'm
on a Win98 system at the moment, and I'll have to check the XP and Vista systems
for their equivalents, but it probably isn't really necessary... I think they're
mostly similar). Change that to whatever directory you prefer. (Yes, it's
not variable, but it's one way of attempting to have Notepad++ start with a
different working directory.)

Haibara,
the implementation is difficult, i agree and totally understand.
the requirement is odd from any technical aspects, i don't think so. Most
commercial
editors have the function actually, and most people believe the NPP can win
the commercial ones.

OK.
For the moment the upload system doesn't work on sourceforge. I'll do it as
soon as it works.
BTW, some characters (like '-', '+' or '&') should not used as part of file
name, since sourceforge is under Linux.

Very handy your plugin.
However, it's quite painful to download it.
Do you mind if I upload it on Npp Plugins project page?

I don't mind at all!
I would even maintain it in the repository if someone would add me to the
developers
group of the Npp Plugins project.

I was wrong about that.
Indeed, it will resolve your problem.

I then do setInfo() before getFuncsArray(). It'll work the dynamical menu for
your plugin now.
Notepad++ v5 Alpha will be published in few hours, so you can test it with your
plugin.

BTW, Insert plugin Web Edition works fine with v4.9.2, but it crashed v5, for
a unknown reason.

Then write a mail to Jens (the project manager of Npp Plugins project) to ask
for that.
I'm sure that he will be glad to add you in the list :)

Hi!
When I create a new bash file (.sh) in Greek utf-8, certain greek characters
appear red, as if Styler Configurator considers them to belong in the ERROR
category and each of them has a weird white symbol in black foreground before
it. If I convert them to ANSI, everything looks good. If I re-convert them to
utf-8 with or without BOM, the problem re-appears. This happens only with Bash
files. If I rename the file extension to something else, the problem disappears
:-/

I have vista. I have a folder "TestRun" on my desktop. Try to open text files
inside this folder using npp, no problem. Now, I renamed this folder to
"TestRun?", try to reopen those text files using npp, it simply refuse to
open them. I try the explorer context menu, using the open dialog, none work.
Also try to uninstall completely then reinstall 4.9.2, it did not help. Is
this a known issue? Can anyone help? Thank you.

I found a few older posts that have the same problem. I guess this not
supported
yet. Any plan on doing this?
