No need to add extra options to Notepad++. Windows already supports an option
to bypass the recycle bin on delete.
Programs should never delete any user created content directly.

Hi,
I am using NP++ on a Vista x64 but my main file manager is Xplorer which is
a 32bit app.
The NP++ Installer only installs the 64bit shell extension on a 64bit OS and
thus there is no shell extension in 32bit apps on a 64bit os. I have not found
a way to register the 32bit shell extension manually. I assume that i am not
the only person with this problem. Could you modify the installer so that you
get the option to install the 32bit shell extension in a 64bit environment?
Or give me some pointer how to get the 32bit shell extension to work on a 64bit
os.
feier

I second this request! Please add this feature as well as defaulting the
extension
of the file being saved to the "Language" (i.e. XML, TXT, PHP, etc...) selected
in the editor. These could be options for users to choose if they want these
features enabled or not.

that

Go to Settings/Preferences/Misc. Check the box "Remember last operation
directory".
See if it does what you want.

Here the topicstarter again...

The approach of Markus is interesting, but I don't need all URL-parameters so
it could work in some cases, but not in others. Anyway: thanks for the
suggestion,
it is a valuable one!

Other people say the error isn't reproducible.
Hint: did you try it in PHP mode?
Probably there isn't a problem in other modes (I didn't try this).

i've also had this issue. it's bad because it's not always able to be
reproduced.
i thought i had a virus or something at first, but nothing shows up with AVG
and others are having this problem as well.

This doesn't work with -multiInst -notabbar -nosession (in NPP 5.0.1)

Or it doesn't work at all, I am not sure, it doesn't work on my computer either
way, with those switches or without them. "Program Files/Notepad++/" is the
default dir every time I run NPP and try to "save as".

(Didn't find similar posts; but I didn't go through all 160 pages of search
results either.)

How would I associate a file name, that doesn't have an extension, to a language
for highlighting?
In my case, associate `Rakefile' to `Ruby.'
