Just played around with vc++ 2008, I've got the same problem - the binary has
no tool bar under xp (ok under vista), but I have no idea why it happens.

If anyone has walk around for this issue, please let me know.

Hi,

Ping :) Is something going on in this case?
Moreover, I wish that spell checker dialog is modeless (so you can scroll and
edit the document while spell checking) and resumes checking from the cursor
position, not from the beginning every time you stop it to correct something
manually in the document.

Best regards
Darek

Hi,

I want to format a 45.000-line XML-document consistently (one tab-depth for
each knot).
In the moment the file is barely readable and I have to compare versions. The
correct (identical) format would make it a lot easier for me.

Thank you

I'm not sure if it is already been told as I didn't find anything.
You can make Notepad++ your default notepad by simply going to "Folder Options"
,to "File Types" tab and select TXT and then "Advance". Select "open" from
"Actions"
and then hit "Edit". Under "Application used to perform action" add you Notepad
path or click "Browse" to guide you and at the end of the path don't forget
to add "%1".
That's it.Now every txt file open with Notepad++.I found it a lot easier than
replacing Notepad++ to all this folders and/or modifying registry.I hope it
will help you too.

Hello!

I have switched from the abandoned GWD Text Editor (http://www.gwdsoft.com/)
to Notepad++ and I still think, it was a good choice. There is a nice feature
of GWD I'm still missing in Notepad++: There is a "Favorite Files" menu item
in the "File" menu which presents a (customizable) list of often used files,
similar to the "Favorites" functionality in Windows Explorer or Internet
Explorer.
This would be a very handy enhancement of Notepad++ (and probably not too
difficult
to implement).

Explorer plugin has the "Favorites" panel.
You can also customize the "Run" menu to open files - edit shortcuts.xml.

Hello,

i need two features in N++ and i don't know if they are not
implemented or if i just can't find it.

The search dialog has a button for searching all occurences of a pattern
in all files. The result is a list of findings in all files in a window below
the editor window.

Is it possible to get this result list just for the current file and not all
open files?

Is it possible to use extended regular expressions? I need at least
a method to search for several regular expressions at once in one
file. So i need the | operator of the extended regular expressions.
This doesn't seem to work yet.

Joerg

Why don't you just use the built in feature?: Settings-Preferences-File
