Its by design... there's no way editing any xml/ini file to change that...

Sorry =(

1) Menu TextFX -> TextFX Settings -> AutoClose Brace / Tags will do most of
the job
Then, the CTRL+B / etc stuff, you can do it several ways: recording a macro
and setting those shortcuts, or you could use the QuickText plugin, and use
B + (Ctrl+Enter) for Bold and so on...

2) For this you can use QuickText plugin too...

I dont know if this is a bug or missing feature, but on opening a file, no
language
is set for the file. 'Normal text' is used instead of php or python. The
language
can be guessed by file's extension. I'm using version 5.0.3. I found nothing
about this behaviour in bugtracker or open discussion

Greetings,

I supposed that someone would have post about this sometime in the past, but
couldnt find any... If someone already did, forgive me...

Since we have 2 plugins which do exactly the same:
Menu Plugins -> Insert -> Close HTML/XML tag automatically
Menu TextFX -> TextFX Settings -> Autoclose XHTML/XML <Tag>

I think it would be a good idea that one of them would work like dreamweaver's
autoclose:
It doesnt close the tag exactly when you type it, but closes the last matching
tag when you type "</"

For example, I type "<table>", then "<tr>" and then "<td>" and nothing happens.
Then, when I type "</" it automatically adds the "td>", making it "</td>"

When I type "</" again, it adds the "tr>", making it "</tr>", and so on...

*Shrugs* Just an idea...

Thank you Daniel!

I was trying QuickText plugin, but:

1) The text Clips capacity is of some lines only
2) If you have many clips is easy to forget the names,

So there must be a menu with the name of the text Clips as in other programs
(PsPad for example), may be this is something to suggest to the QuickText plugin
engaged persons.

Best regards

Yeah, highlight it and press tab (or shift+tab to decrease). It doesn't replace
the text highlighted with a tab character like you might expect.

I'm looking to create a user defined languange for OpenVMS' DCL command
language.
The first hurdle I've found is defining comments. In DCL the parser treats
everything after the first exclamation point "!" as a comment. I can't get
the language definition to correctly recognize the following at comments

!comment
$! commend
$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!everything
after "$" is comment.
$ SHOW TIME !comment
$ DIRECTORY !! comment

And so forth.

Also if anyone has a DCL definition I'd love to see it.

This is something I too would love to see. I'm unfamiliar with what is necessary
for doing this, I assume it can be tacked onto what is existing completion for
other languages?
