On my Homesite++, when I click New, a new HTML document opens up complete with
the following tags already inserted:

Just for grins I sat down and wrote a VBScript .vbs script to handle those three
edits you mentioned; it ~15 lines, not counting comments.
The FOR /R loop passes each file to the VBScript as it finds them. I made three
folders each holding 20 files, 10 JAR and 10 JAD all containing the same text
you posted up top.
It takes the FOR loop about 6 seconds to find and pass the files, and perform
the 180 edits, rewriting each file in turn (60 files x3 edits).
Not bad.
You could copy the VBScript files to change the three lines so that each
customer
had their own version.

have used Notepad++ on a computer running Windows XP and replaced the XP
version of Notepad with
Notepad++. I've just updated my OS to Vista and want to do the same. I
definitely prefer Notepad++. The folders are different in Vista than from XP
and there must be a different process to do this. Please post how to
replace in Vista OS. Thank You

Try unregistering the files, restarting explorer (logoff/logon), reregistering
and restarting explorer again.
There's probably something wrong in the register.
