Is there any chance Notepad++ can itself be made into a .NET user control that
we can embed in our applications? My name is Mike Griffin from EntitySpaces
and also MyGeneration, we use the Scintilla editor in MyGeneration but it's
so hard to get setup correctly, and the ScintillaNET control has issues. We
were wondering if there has every been any talk of making Notepad++ a user
control
that the dotnet community could use in their applications?

Open a run box (<Windows>+<R>) and type "%APPDATA%\Notepad++", this will open
the directory where N++ stores all its config data. The settings are stored
in XML files with more or less self-explanatory names.
If in portable mode, just just look into your N++ main folder.

I have released a new version of the plugin at the usual:

This version adds several new features and reorganizes all the options into
a new options dialog box instead of the plugin sub-menu:

+ you can set the folder where the current file will be executed (requested
by Michael): current process directory, file directory, you can enter it each
time, or you can set one based on replacement variables
+ you can open an explorer window at the file location
+ you can open a shell (of your choice) at the file location
Additionally:
+ more options for saving the script before executing
+ more checks on file and folder existence
+ code clean up and minor bug fixes.

I just installed Notepad++ and the highlight bar where my mouse is is quite
annoying. Can someone please tell me where to disable that? I checked
preferences,
style etc and couldn't seem to find it. The bar is the *color* that highlight
the line where my mouse click is or where the cursor is at.
