I am resending this message, as I'm not sure it got to the list. Please
somenoe let me know if you get it (even if you don't have an answer). Thanks

Hi,

May I ask how am I able to use \n in a regex search in NotePad++?

I know I can select the Extended option so that I can use \n, but if I
do that I can't use the rest of regex ([^>]*, etc)

Thanks a lot!

Manuel

Right now NP++ has a function to search in files within a specified folder.
Replacing however is only possible in files that are opened by NP++. Is there
some way to do a search/replace within a folder? That would be a sweet feature,
it's the only thing I am missing in NP++.

The new auto-indent feature is nice to have, but it's still unusable because
it removes all indents on a line when I type ::, which is fairly common in PHP.

Fix please!

I just posted about this problem without seeing this thread. It's annoying
indeed;
I with we could have a better auto-indent.

This minimal example was tedious to create as NP kept crashing! Create an asp
file:

<%
        function Test
                Set Conn = Nothing
        end function
%>

Put your cursor at the beginning of the line "Set Conn...", then
SHIFT-DOWN_ARROW
to hilite the row, then press DELETE...and NP should crash. This is just one
example; I have others but trying to minimize the example is too tedious.
