If I'm not wrong, the last time he talked about this plugin he said he wanted to change it deeply, rewriting it from the beginning, which takes long. In the meanwhile, yes, you can easily solve the problem by using version 5.1.2 ANSI. Just go to the download page, but instead of choosing the .exe self-installing file, choose the .zip compressed folder. It contains both the Unicode and the ANSI versions. Just unzip the ANSI folder somewhere, and run it. Please note that if you are currently using any plugins, which are obviously Unicode plugins (or otherwise they wouldn't work with the version of N++ that you are using), they aren't backwards compatible with the ANSI version, so you'll have to download their "old" ANSI version. Most plugins, however, are provided in the .zip file itself. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. However, after an upgrade (I believe it was to 5.0 or 5.1 - dont remember which) which wiped out my config I can't get it do use this behavior. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug? My config preferences on : the Backup/Auto-Completion tab is: Verbose backup (so I can have multiple versions backed up) User custom backup directory: checked Directory: nppBackup the MISC tab: Remember last operation directory: unchecked I have tried both settings for last operation directory and it made no difference and backups are still going to my user home dir (Documents and Settings\<user_id>\nppBackup). I have also tried several combinations of specifying the directory ranging from .\<dir name> to $(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)\<dir name> So, does anyone have suggestions? or Is this a bug? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. If you pay attention to the caret as these tabs are being inserted, you'll notice it continues to blink. Pressing TAB should result in the caret remaining solid and not blink, as it does with other forms of input, such as BACKSPACE and pressing alphabetic keys. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ------------------------------ Message: 7 Date: Thu, 18 Dec 2008 19:36:56 +0000 From: "SourceForge.net" <nore...@sourceforge.net> Subject: [Notepad-plus-plus] [notepad-plus - Help] Snippets / Quicktext To: nore...@sourceforge.net Message-ID: <5839519.331...@sourceforge.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=5839519 By: acialk Hey there, Is there a Quicktext / Snippets like feature in notepad++? I recently upgraded to Vista and Quicktext doesn't work with with my new OS and the latest version of notepad++. It was the only plugin I used and it seems it's no longer supported. Last updated Jan'07. Or does anyone know of a plugin that's similar that will work with my setup?
