If N++ crashes, dumps are generated (at least its tried, it is a crash after all). I dont think writing a temp file right before save is a good idea, way to much load on the harddisk (besides, if explorer is having trouble with the disks, who guarantees notepad++ wont, some user might decide the USB is the best place for temp storage). b) Such a plugin exists methinks, not sure for unnamed files though. Search the forums or the web, dunno where it is at. There is no x64 version of notepad++, it runs fine in wow64 (and the same goes for linux+wine :)) ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I have my braces autogenerated, on my css files, and most of my html tags on my html files for example I have :*:<ta::<table width="100%" cellpadding="0" style="border-collapse:collapse;">`n`t<tr>`n`t<td>`n`n</td>`n{backspace}</tr>`n{ backspace}</table>{up 3}`t which writes as soon as I type <ta <table width="100%" cellpadding="0" style="border-collapse:collapse;"> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> </table> ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. My problem was actually that all previously edited files were opened when I opened a new one, but <i>un</i>checking "Settings/Preference/Misc/"Remember the current session for next launch" was exactly what I was looking for. As usual, the answer was hiding in plain sight. Thank you. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. The ANSI version (and all the older versions, obviously) must never call the function. >From the plugin point of view it's pretty obvious then: if isUnicode() was >called, then the Unicode support is required. If it was not, then it should stick to the ANSI mode. Since Scintilla is ANSI-only, then a simple plugin must only provide a few strings in Unicode for the Notepad++ itself. It can choose if the ANSI or a Unicode version of a string is to be passed by the previous call (or absense of such) of the isUnicode() function. This solution is fully backwards compatible and does not REQUIRE The plugin would then be able to know that Unicode support is required, and otherwise provide ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I did as instructed and the problem still persists. Its not any of the plugins. Update: I solved one of the two problems: The garbage characters of existing files are now hebrew. Solution was to change the font of the default style. The problem now is that I can't write hebrew characters. I get ?????? instead when working on ANSI file. (its OK on UTF8 files) What can I try next? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Are you sure you give the exact script you use ? The script prozaker wrote, works fine. ? It says : "invalid hotkey". Yes, Autohotkey spit such messages (even if the code seems to be ok), because everything is written on the same line. In Autohotkey, a good way of coding is to type the commands beneath the hotstring/hotkey (even if the commands are shorter) ; type this to have the script running permanently #persistent :*:<ta:: <table width="100%" cellpadding="0" style="border-collapse:collapse;">`n`t<tr>`n`t<td>`n`n</td>`n{backspace}</tr>`n{ backspace}</table>{up 3}`t return ; save it and run it After that open your favorite text editor (Npp ofc :-|\) and type <ta. It should look like: <table width="100%" cellpadding="0" style="border-collapse:collapse;"> <tr> <td> </td> </tr> </table> Cheers, LMS_RampagE ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
