imgen,

When you say the 'language' has changed, what language are you referring to?
The lexer language?

Heya Dev Team! Any input on this? Is there anywhere there may have been some
doc put together spelling out some guidelines for this kind of stuff?

For the plugin I'm working on right now, I decided to check for previous use
of margins 3 and 4 by another plugin, if one is free for both views then I use
it, if not a message is posted to the user saying the plugin won't work because
it doesn't want to cause unexpected behavior. As for the markers themselves
I decided that since there are 32 markers available, the last 8 being used for
folding that I'd shoot for using 16-23; (:shrugs:) just an ambiguous shot in
the dark. :P

???

I think it would be very useful to have permalinks to the latest installers,
something like: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/.../npp-setup.exe

This would help promoting the application because will enable system
administrators
to create install/update scripts and also would enable other software publishers
to install it from their installers without including an old version in their
installers.

For more information please check:

I have the 'Vibrant Ink (Screenshot) : by Tyler Ritchie' Style installed on
my NPP. when i print from this it prints everything white on black just like
the Style looks on the PC. I am currently copying and pasting into notepad
to correct this so i can print black on white(normal).

Does anyone know a way to correct this? i have tried to create a User Defined
Language called print and make it just black on white but this only applies
for the actual text... the white space or black space in this case remains and
still prints out as such.

Can anyone help?

Does settings=>preferences=>'Print - Colour and Margin'=> 'Black on white' do
the trick?

I updated my Gmod Lua lexer to fit inside your template. It was actually
extremely
simple. I did change the part that displays the lexer name in the help menu
to prepend "About " to show the distinction between the two aspects of the
plugin.
You may want to think about adding that to your version. Thanks again for your
work! =)

garthex,

Fantastic! Thanks for the feedback, glad you found it easy. I'd be interested
in hearing your opinion on using the namespace setup, did you omit your #define
statements, and if so did you find your lexer to be 'cleaner' and easier to
read?

With that change you mentioned, prepending 'About', there may be a few issues
with _forcing_ a menu name prefix. For example, say I create a lexer for Foo
and use the Foo* plugin menu item as a language specific preferences dialog.
Or, I use the base Foo* menu item for an About() function and also create an
additional menu item "Foo* Settings..."; the sorter will put all external lexer
'Abouts' away from the languages other registered menu function items.
