> I know what a Post-It note is but I can't relate the 3M product with the view.

:)
Well, besides the colour is different from 3M's one, this feature try to do
the same thing. In my case, I need usually several url, always on top, in order
to do copy-paste operation from the this small note to a browser.

Sure you can note anything you want to serve it just as as post-it.

I think the Hex Editor plugin is just great and having as part of N++ is
fantastic.

I've noticed a few issues:

(1) The DEL key does not delete. On the Edit menu, The Delete function shows
the shortcut is DEL. Selecting Delete from the Edit menu does work.

(2) The Find&Replace Function: Some of the ALT keys specified (such as 't' for
Data Type, 'p' for Replace) do not work. In fact Alt/T seems to operate as a
'Page Down'.

If you do a Replace All, the title of the dialog window that tells you how many
replacements were made is titled 'Find'.

(3) There's a thread in Open Discussion suggesting that F12 crashes N++ because
of Hex Editor. I haven't tried it myself.

Thanks Don. I can see the functionality now. The window is fixed in its location
and always stays on top.

Is it right that:
(a) that the window should not be movable?
(b) that you can no longer access the other documents you had opened in that
version of N++? (Not until you press F12 again.)

It's very simple, you can achieve the same effect through the replacement of
the words, it occurs more frequently and without pay.
Today, all do it.

This problem only occurs when editing a Cyrillic file, but can not just.

Some apps don't run faster in x64 mode. Some do. I've seen some run 30%
faster.
However, the big thing is that I only run 64-bit operating systems, and have
for the past 5 years. I hate having to run 32-bit apps via WOW64. It just
makes sense to run native apps. On my Linux partition, I'm running 100% 64-bit
app. For many, if not most apps, compiling in 64-bit mode is pretty simple.
Push come to shove I will attempt it myself, but I don't have a dev environment
set up in Windows, and I've never tried compiling notepad++ specifically. So
I was hoping the author would offer x64 builds. There may be others who are
interested in them as well.

Could you remove all the plugins then try it again?

Very few applications have real benefit from x64 ports - most run pretty much
without speed difference, and some even become slightly slower. I can't
personally
see what kind of gain NP++ would get from a 64bit port, it's not like it's doing
heavy calculations where it can take advantage of the extra registers, and dunno
about the additional memory space either - I don't think the "open huge
documents"
problem is related to lack of address space.

What's your problem with WoW64, apart from philosophical purity? :) 32bit
is
a native submode of x86-64, it's not like it's emulation.

Just copy-paste Cyrillic text from :
http://ru.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D0%97%D0%B0%D0%B3%D0%BB%D0%B0%D0%B2%D0%BD%D0%B0%D
1%8F_%D1%81%D1%82%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%86%D0%B0
Save it as UCS-2 Big Endian text file.
Close it then reopen it - no problem.

Notepad++ version 5.2
French Xp sp3

Don I don't have the Hex Editor plugin, also I still get the same crash if I
remove all the plugins.

I get the same crash in XP and Windows 7 on my home PC so I tried it out on
my PC at work which uses XP Home SP3 and I also get the F11 F12 crash on that
machine.

Have you checked out the dump file I upped to jaloola's ftp. It is a different
file to the one I emailed you. It was created using Windows 7 built in dump
tool and I think you could get more info from that file.

Hello,

While I was looking on the (dutch version of the) website,
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/nl/site.htm, I noticed that the links from
the screenshots on the homepage link to the wrong page/file.
For example, one link links to:
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/screenshots/scrsh_multiView.gif
While it should
be: http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/commun/screenshots/scrsh_multiView.gif
I got to the /commun/ because on the page 'Screenshots' the images are shown
correctly, with /commun/ in the url.

I didn't know whether it was mentioned already, but I thought it was worth
mentioning.
