Many thanks for this release.

What exactly do I enter in config.xml for this? Something like?

        <GUIConfig name="dlgAlwaysVisible">yes</GUIConfig>

Thanks

Hi all,

Does anyone know why when you use MATLAB language, it looks funny?

I would like to use notepad++ with matlab, but the language definition looks
horrible.
It looks very different than the way the matlab editor colors the code.

Thanks,

Erez

According to me, it should be

<FindHistory nbMaxFindHistoryPath="10" nbMaxFindHistoryFilter="10"
nbMaxFindHistoryFind="10" nbMaxFindHistoryReplace="10" matchWord="no"
matchCase="no"
wrap="yes" directionDown="yes" fifRecuisive="yes" fifInHiddenFolder="no"
dlgAlwaysVisible="no/yes" searchMode="0" transparencyMode="0"
transparency="150">

Keep either dlgAlwaysVisible="no" or dlgAlwaysVisible="yes"

I had the same problem. Was thinking I would have to go to my backup, then read
your posts, looked in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application
Data\Notepad++\plugins\config and found my old FTP_synchronizeA.ini and fixed
it in a minute.

Thanks for posting that fix. I use the FTP plugin in notepad++ a lot.

In addition to keywords
require the same highlighting of regular expressions
r"..."
and average braces with highlighting (I can't make it in user defined language
constructor)

Wazar,

I'm going to put my response in a new thread as I'm sure others, now and in
the future, will be interested in your RegEx syntax highlighting question.

In Open Discussion https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6886816,
Wazar asked how he could create syntax highlighting for regular expressions.

This is something I've tried to do but the current user defined language feature
cannot address a language where the keywords are not terminated by spaces.

In https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6890391, AirDrik has called
for a better function for user defined languages and has suggested using regular
expressions to define language elements.

For those of us that can't, we can only make polite suggestions and hope that
those of us that can take them up.

Here you can find a recompiled Unicode version of Function List which works
with NPP 5.x

http://randronov.blogspot.com/2008/11/function-list-for-notepad-5x-unicode.html

(I am using it with my NPP 5.2)

I don't know what changed, but non-ANSI chars in the search results are now
displaying just fine for me. Please disregard my earlier post. (I don't see
any way of deleting it.)

Hi Phong,

It's good that you've found a working version of Function List but I wonder
if the author wanted it distributed just yet. The Notepad++ project is not like
a commercial product where users are trying to get things that the owner doesn't
want people to have.

The danger of getting plugins before they are officially released is that they
may be in beta testing. That's fine for the beta testers but if people pick
up the beta without knowing it's a beta then they may be unhappy and start
complaining instead of cooperatively working with the developer. I know I'm
guilty of this.

If you, me or anyone else is going to publicise the availability of a plugin
before its official release, then we are obliged to check its status and make
sure we publicise the status along with the URL.

This is a lesson for everyone.

I done something really stupid and made notepad association with .bat. Now if
I try to execute a .bat file it opens in Notepad++ instead of executing. I'm
running vista home prem x64.

Any ideas on howto fix would be greatly appreciated. already tried

1. control panel > Default programs > Set Associations nothing to delete the
association can change though but not sure what to change to.
2. removed the association within notepad++
