The block I need to highlight covers about 50 pages. I am catching the trap
from a USB interaction where the USB is polled many, many, many (did I say
"many"?)
times between useful pieces of information. I need to eliminate all the
redundant
poll requests to summarize an output file to a manageable size for printing.
A typical trap size begins as about 16MB and gets reduced to about 1MB after
manually filtering out the redundant stuff.
The problem with using the mouse is if you click the start line, hol the left
mouse down, and start to drag down beyond the page, it takes a while to scroll
to the final line.

Yes it would be greatly helpful to post a couple of screenshots for that,
unfortunately SF forums don't allow images, so perhaps photo-bucket or some
such? Also, I'm not sure if you have notified the new Compare plugin maintaner
on the Notepad++ Plugins project forums yet or not, but that would also
be helpful.

Okay, thanks. As it turned out, I decided to write a system-tray app that
monitors
the Clipboard and automatically applies various formatting preferences to copied
text. So I think I won this particular "perversity" (i.e. geekiness) contest.

Do it in reverse: use END -> SHIFT-HOME -> CTRL+SHIFT+K. I assume word wrap
is not on.
Tge issue is not a different behaviour, but there being 5 distinct Scintilla
commands for going to start of line (see Shortcut mapper). A safer way would
be a synthetic macro so that the right messages would be sent to Scintilla.
Ask again if you need this.
