Found 3 Bugs in the new Version which were not in 5.4.3.

2. Delphi / Pascal Code higlight is not correct (green????)
3. Windows 7 -> klicking in the taskbar should minimize the window when its
opened. But it always maximize!

Hi,
I just installed v5.4.4 over 5.4.1 and it seems that none of the plugin
shortcuts
work.
I tried using F6, which should start the NppExec "Execute..." window, but it
does not work. I am not able to use any of the shortcuts that I manually created
for my the NppExec scripts.
I also installed the Compare plugin version 1.5.4 and its shortcuts (notably,
Alt+d) do not work either.
If I manually click on the menus corresponding to these plugins they work fine.

The caret was jumping to the top every time I switched tabs, Chris. My problem
was detected by "Fool4UAnyway ": a previous version of the File Switcher Plugin
was active. I just renamed the file and everything got back to normal.

Frank;
I have a similar error (no SAMBA - Windows XP SP 3) see (infinite loop after
save) about 4 messages after yours. Check task manager (or your OS's
equivalent)
when the hang occurs --a loop in NOTEPAD++ seems to be evident on my machine
as notepad utilizes 50% of a dual core CPU (100% of a single core).
I hope this helps you and those that are knowledgeable to isolate the problem.

Hi, this is probably a pretty basic question, but I can't find the answer here.
I'm using Notepad++ to search through huge txt files. I want to run a search
but omit certain text in my results. for example.. I want to search for any
lines containing "http" but omit any lines that contain "HVU:B1"

Is this happening wih version 5.4.4? Upgrading (or downgrading to 5.4.3) then
might help.
Also, sending any generated .dmp file to doho will probably help him, or a
fellow
dev, figure the issue out.

Hi Christian:
We put Notepad++ on each new machine we install. It would be easy for us to
make it the first program in the install sequence after the OS.
But the question remains: how can we make an "answer file" so that we can
automate
subsequent installs on other machines. If an answer file can NOT be generated,
what switches can be used with the installer to specify language, installation
folder, components to be installed and whether the program is to be run.

Choose a specific extension for session files in Settings -> Preferences ->
MISC, flush down right. Then (perhaps after reboooting computer), "open
notepad++.exe
<session_file_with_the_right_ext>" should work.

It looks like you are performing nested searches. This is most easily done
checking
the "Mark lines" and the Find all command.
Search for lines that have "http". Copy bookmarked lines, paste them on a
scratch
document (or in place of the needlessly huge initial one).
Now comes TextFX Viz with its Show lines without (clipboard) command. This will
hide undesirable lines. Select All, then Cut invisible selection to weed them
out. Add or iterate such cropping as per your requirements.
