Yes. Review all the procedure.
1/ If you have a doLoaclConf.xml file, Notepad++.exe will not look in %APPDATA%.
This is the purpose of the file. So either remove doLocalConf.xml or move the
theme file to Notepad++.exe's folder.
2/ Now that you know where the config is, you should check that the base path
it refers to is the one your icon files are in. This base path could be
anything,
it does need to point to something related to Notepad++, though that wouldn't
make much sense.

Along with all config files, it's called NppDump.dmp. It may not have been
generated
- there is no documentation that states when N++ gets a chance to produce it.
I'll dig the source in case I find reliable clues.

Then you probably should file a bug report, specially if you can figure out
an earlier version number with the behaviour you report being lost.
Noe that, if this is a deliberate change in Scintilla, there is not much that
can be done about it, except checking the Scintilla project on Sourceforge.

It really seems 5.4.4 has some problems with displaying of cyrillic characters
in .NFO files, even for Windows encoded. They look just as in Mr_DI case.
Setting of global font in "Styles" or renaming file to .TXT helps. Looks like
a problem with "DOS Style", but there's no separate font setting for these
style.

Hello,
I'm using np++ 5.4.0 (unicoode) which I have customized to my needs: Colors,
np++ language, plugins. I use the zip/7z version without installer.
Is it possilbe to update to 5.4.4 and to maintain all these settings or do I
have to setup my colors, plugins, np++ language from scratch if I want to use
the current release 5.4.4?

how do I add the extension .abc to a specific language, e.g. how I have to setup
np++ if I want to open any .abc file as a C-language file (like .c, .h) ?

Hi,
The settings suggested by gthm159 did not work for me. Toolbar was not coming
back.
Upgrading to the latest version (5.4.4) got my toolbar back.

so trying to build a macro with search items. I have to constanly search and
replace smart quotes and other cruft with plain ascii. I have tried building
a macro by recording but it never saves. any advice on doing this?
