In v5.4.3 it worked like a charm. Normally, you could toggle encoding much like the way View > Character Encoding works in Firefox. In Notepad++ v5.4.4 it gets stuck after one change. I tried with fresh install on Windows XP (no plugins). ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. And going to ask whether they wish to join npp-plugins. Mind you, there are some plugin authors that remain on their own; some post to plugin dev (I think to f stellari in particular) and some never do, and I found and referenced their plugins through lucky googling. I don't know about performance, but it would be very distracting. See my IdeaToorrent solution with provisions for smoothing up thumb size changes. I can believe that, when scrolling text fast, the tracking should be disabled anyway - isn't it? One of the check boxes is, "Hide toggled console". Check it. Then, when you use Ctrl+~ to toggle between the console the editor window, the console hides itself. You can run the console maximized by double-clicking on its title-bar. This gives you maximum real-estate, and a simple hot-key to hide it. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. But instead Notepad++ chooses some Haskell. I've disabled this syntax in the settings. But still Notepad uses it. How can it be fixed? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Unfortunately not. What you can try however, is replace LINEDRAW.TTF by the font you what to use in your USB driver. Let me know if it works. It depends on how user friendly someone would want it to be. it's a law of natural physics that the more complex something (anything in existence even Computer software) is the more fragile and the more susceptible it becomes to it's surroundings. the more user friendly to more complex and so on and so forth. So were is the trade off worth it. NOW TIME FOR A NOTE TO THE DEVELOPERS! I want to THANK the developers for this program. I have been through many (at least a Dozen or two) so called "Syntax" Editing/Editor Programs and this one is by far the Best that i have Used and the only one I have ever kept or even made sure I had made a backup somewhere in case of a format or data loss! This program is Very user friendly and Powerful, two properties you don't find very often together in software! So thank you very very very much Notepad++ team for making this Powerful developing tool for us and thank you again for making it Available to the public for free!!!!!!!!! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I have had a small search glitch myself once in awhile, but it's not bad enough to obsess over a different version that's "perfect" or even insult the developers! hey If you want perfect you can pay your life savings to a team to fail at that for you, while I personally will stick with the "so called" more arrogant than Microsoft Notepad++( That's ironic considering this program is free and Microsoft will start on your soul if you run out of money!!!! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
