You may want to follow the message titled
     Notepad++ consistently crashing 5-6 times/day

The frequency varies significantly according to various posters also there are
indications that file size is related to the issue. The current consensus
appears
to be -- subject to additional testing is that version 5.3.1 may be more stable.

I tend to save numerous tabs (files - small compared to the 10,000 lines
indicated
by others) in a relatively short period of time (speed of my mouse operations
- not using "Save All") using the right mouse click on a tab (to the same drive
often the same folder). Has anyone else noticed the possibility of concurrency
issue in the save function when multiple files are requested to be processed
in a short period of time(using Ctrl-S or other methods probably excluding -
or possibly including - "Save All")? This could explain why those with larger
files experience the "hang" more often.

Actually I think it is, because you can specify more than 1 account, so you
will have to set what your default ftp con is, and as far as I know, when i
save a file locally, it gets immedecally uploaded.

Well, as far as I know you can't upload them simultanously but there will be
created a queue automatically

Oh, thanks a lot for making this clear. I ran into the same trouble as mattj452
and found this thread by googling for "notepad++ python docstring".

Perhaps you should give Python's "TRIPLEDOUBLE" another color than black by
default ;)

> In hindsight, I can see that the left border is yellow and it's possible

The left border is independent of the docstrings :-) It marks "last edits" (am
I right?). But how did you manage to compress the docstrings? I dont see it...

Best regards,

Jan-Philip Gehrcke

The multiple file contention context does not appear to be solely significant
I just had a hang in 5.4.0 where I was saving a single small file. It was a
file that had been previously closed and NOT saved after another file had been
saved. It may be related to reuse of the save function or the interference
of canceling tab with modified content and reopening the same file (to access
the original content) in a new tab and completing the desired (corrected)
update.
There was another file that was saved prior in the session

Thank you very much for the quick big-fix release.

There is still the encoding issue that I posted about in 5.4.4 ?
https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7494211

I'm just curious whether it is me who has gone insane, or it is a bug / new
feature. Can someone tell me if this is the place to post, or should I use the
issue tracker?

OK, great to see some development on SQL folding.

Would you mind adding the CASE keyword to the "folders" as well?

I tried some SQL example code, but got some very strange folding from (two
SELECT
statements preceded by) an opening parenthesis up to the first two END
statements,
both ending CASE blocks.
