I'm really thinking it has something to do with file size - is 16,000 lines too big? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I want to set the cursor to a doublequote and have the matching doublequote change color just at it does for the left and right curly braces ({}). ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I can open and work on a disassembly listing ~80,000 line long without a crash, and I have like 40 plugins installed - not all active, granted. These files have plenty of very short lines. When I select some text for copying to the clipboard, all identical entries become highlighted with the same (or almost the same) green color. That's fine and could be useful. When I return to the window after pasting the copied text somewhere, I often forget exactly which was the line copied (because they the highlighting is pretty much the same). Is there a way to change the highlighting so that the text selected for copying appears different than the identical text entries. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I would also be interested in changing the color it uses. thanks for bringing this up. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. I've just noticed that on substantially smaller files it doesn't crash as often, and it seems to crash increasingly often as I build. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. You just made me check... and discover that this is already (partially) the case: the "Save" button is lit on when a change is unsaved, lit off otherwise. Which pretty well resolves the (tiny) issue. To be perfect one could just wish that when there is no unsaved change, 1st the "Save - Ctrl+S" and "Save As - Ctrl+Alt+S" lines in the "File" menu are grayed out, 2nd the "The document is unchanged. Are you sure you want to save it?" dialog is displayed. Anyway let's remember that there are plenty arguments for each variant of each solution; that each of the millions users silently and subconsciously thinks and arbitrates them; that there is a tacit consensus on the situation where "Save" (button or shortcut or else) does save *no matter the changes*. So, any depart from these tacit assumptions, must only be decided if thought, done and documented with great attention to the millions users.
